Such a great place! By the end of the night I was actually ear to ear smiling, and I just couldn't stop. Which is the first time thats really happened at a restaurant before. The staff were extremely nice, and the food was delicious.Got extremely full by the end of the day, but was still aloud to bring the last bit home with me as take awayI highly recommend coming hereAnd thank you for the experience

What a fabulous restaurant. We sadly live on the side of Melbourne but we had to trek to Templestowe. Luckily , thanks to the goggle reviews , we decided to eat here . The restaurant is spotlessly clean , great Chinese food , good service and well priced . We hope to be back . A

Excellent. My teenagers said it was amazing! We had lemon chicken, spicy calamari, pepper beef and a range of entrees for takeaway. We could not fault this place. We will be back. We just wished we'd discovered it sooner!!!

Recommended this restaurant by friends who live locally & we had a lovely meal. Really fresh ingredients, hot generous servings & friendly attentive service. No faults. Not a large or fancy restaurant - just great food. It’ll be our regular “Chinese” now.

Have eaten there twice for lunch this month with a group of friends. On both occasions the food was fresh, delicious and reasonably priced.The owners are very friendly and were very eager to help with food requirements for one member of the group who has an allergy to one type of fish. Nothing was too much trouble.Our group of 6 is already planning to go there for lunch before Christmas. Thank you Painted Lantern for the lovely experience.Great for take away too.

Painted Lantern Chinese Restaurant
Delicious food, lovely people. They even gave us a free chicken and corn soup, just how I remember when I was a kid. Quick also, 20 mins, order was ready. Very happy with the service.
