This post office is beyond the joke. Never enough staff, always a huge line, why make people go through all that?

They send documents from Brisbane to Gold Coast via Cairns and take the worst passport photo ever

Not worth getting a passport photo there. I told them my email for them to send it to me and then I changed the email and they got cranky and took it out on me.

I only wanted to put letter into letterbox as 'return to sender's but no stand alone letterboxes, had to wait in very long line. Lucky caught the eye of staff member and handed it to her. With so much you can do at post shops these days they need to separate quick service v people with more complex issues.

We are in Cairns at the moment, had notification that we have a parcel delivery. Phoned the P. O asked if friend could pick up. Answer NO. Asked if they could hold it until we got home 31 Jan. Answer, probably not. In my opinion, just not good enough.

I can totally appreciate the other reviews especially in regards to Passport applications and yes this should be addressed. However, my experience on a Friday morning with 3 applications was fantastic. Taylor was a kind, helpful and knowledgable chap who went out of his way to assist, even when we hadn't booked. He is a role model of Aus Post and I can't commend him enough.

Went to lodge a childs passport application. Waited in line for 15 minutes and then got sent away because I didnt have an appointment. Checked online and no other post office requires one. Woman was rude in turning me away. Watched the same woman turn away anf older lady just before me who had been there twice already to try and lodge hers. Place should be reset with staff .

My advice for anyone looking to lodge passport application: don't waste your time here and book appoinment elsewhere. I was served by a very lazy short hair blonde lady this morning - refused to do a passport application because we don't do it on Saturday because there is so much to it. We were asked to make appointment Mon-Fri 9-5 only. Now it would be no problem but we came here before on a Sat to lodge it and was served by a young man so you definitely do it on a Saturday. Also I checked the aust post website for appoinment time at other post shop and they also do it on Saturday so I call it BS what she told me this morning. Didn't want to argue as there was a long queue of people waiting and didn't want to waste my time any further with this lazy woman who clearly is lazy and unhelpful.Kudos to all other staffs members whom i met previously in store, she is 1 bad apple and this 1 star is for her only.

I wanted to obtain my keypassID and Gainor was so patience, welcoming and nice that made that long process a nice experience. She's a star.
