Urban Timber

Urban Timber built us a solid timber (Wormy Chestnut) dining table 2.8 metres in length with solid bench seats. The finished product was beautiful and they liaised with us every step of the way to ensure we were happy with the timber, the design, and how to best utilise the natural features of the timbers in the finished product. The workshop is mighty impressive. Shane and Pam were lovely to deal with. Professional and caring. Highly recommended.

Urban Timber have created some beautiful pieces for my home. From forming up a contrete bench top to the design of bespoke timber & steel furniture pieces. The craftsmanship from this creative team is quality!

Our dealings with Shane and the team at Urban Timber came about by chance as I was at another business picking up some paint next door to Urban Timber and whilst walking back to my car I stuck my head into there workshop. I had previously approached another cabinetry business about the prospect of building a custom 1950's-60's Retro Kitchen and other than telling me they could do it and leaving plans with them it never got off the ground so when I pitched the same idea to Shane that day I was met with yes we can do that attitude but I sensed straight away something very different and genuine about Shane so I returned home to tell my wife I think she might actually get her new kitchen she had been at me for the last couple of years. So I returned to see Shane about a week later with the plans I had draw up of our dream kitchen which was old school kitchen cabinetry along with retro laminate and aluminium banding sourced from the USA, Shane was quite excited and genuinely interested in tackling the project with his skilled team of workers in turn we were excited to see we had found someone that shared our passion to bring it to life. Over the period of the build we had constant contact with Shane and we both worked through any issues that came about nothing was ever a problem for Shane or his team we felt assured early on that we definitely had the right people building our dream kitchen and through the whole process nothing changed. We had at one stage or another met and dealt with all members of the team and they are all a credit to Shane and themselves the way they carry out their job all very competent and diligent. In summing up we really enjoyed the experience working with everyone at Urban Timber and we felt they very much enjoyed the project from there feedback and to be honest we were a little sad to say goodbye once the kitchen was finished , we cannot speak highly enough of Urban Timber thanks Shane, Pam and the Team.

Urban Timber took our idea and created a perfect solution. They couldn't have tried harder, and we are now the proud owners of a unique piece of furniture fashioned from some beautiful wood.

Urban Timber made us a beautiful custom 10 seater dining table to fit with our eclectic mix of already existing furniture. They were very knowledgable and helpful throughout the process, and were determined to get an end result that we couldn't be happier with. Can't recommend these guys enough.
