Elwood Children's Centre

Our son has been going to ECC since he was 1 and we have seen him thrive during this period, he is now 3 and a half. His carers have been wonderful at managing his various development stages and he is excited to learn and see his friends each day. We are so happy that centres like this exist in the community, it operates as an epicentre for the local community and has led to friendships of parents and carers for us too. Could not recommend it enough!

Our two children love ECC! They run in each morning with glee and are happily playing when we collect them in the evenings. I love that it’s a big old house with character, which makes it much more homely than the brand new centres I’ve seen that can be a bit generic and soulless.The staff care about the kids and offer a great balance between free play and carefully throughly through educational activities. We’ll be sad to leave this place!

A home away from home. This gorgeous community run centre is the perfect place for my two little munchkins. It’s a small centre that makes you feel like part of the family. My kids love everything about this centre. I highly recommend.

We have been at this centre for over a year now. I did lots of research on which centre we send our children to and this was the one we settled on. Each room is so small, not like those centres with 22 babies in one room! My eldest (doing kindy) is one of 13 and my youngest is one of 8. The staff are so special. They tell me such funny stories of what my littlies got up to each day. And they have helped us work through some challenging behaviours. They are such a great resource. Not a new or fancy centre; just wholesome, real and warm.

This place is like our extended family. I couldn't speak more highly of it - the surroundings that make it feel like a home, the unique and caring educators, and the small room sizes.

Amazing asset to the community!

My daughter just finished her 2 years at ECC and is off to school next year. We have had an amazing experience with the centre, every carer and staff member was exceptional. My daughter has built a beautiful sense of community at this small centre and there was not a single day she wasn't excited to run into the gates (this wasn't the case at prior centres). We feel extremely lucky to have been a part of this community, getting to know the other children, parents and staff at many social events and at drop off and pick up. The 4 year old kinder excursion program was a huge hit, along with lots of fantastic play based learning opportunities every day at the centre. The centre did a fantastic job of preparing my daughter for prep and helping her become a confident and passionate learning. She's also learnt about community, friendships and how to self regulate her emotions. Couldn't recommend it more highly.
