The Positive Pet Project
Brooke was great and provided some helpful advice but for $260 - you would expect a lot more. The puppy course included 1hr zoom session and then two 30min in-house sessions where it felt like unless we prompted to discuss other topics - we would spend 30mins learning one trick. We also had to ask for the information sheets - why are these not shared as part of the puppy course? When I politely expressed our feedback and how we felt like we had been ripped off - we were told an additional four classes would be $180. In the end there was no interest in resolving or compensating for our very disappointing experience with The Positive Pet Project.I'm sure TPP can help with some other behavioural issues but I would highly suggest you look elsewhere for your puppy course as you will spend a lot to learn very little here!Response: I didn't contact Caedmon last week to book more sessions - I text Caedmon to provide our constructive feedback after the puppy course. Our disappointment was not addressed (more so completely disregarded) and we were told we could pay for more sessions.Regardless of the time after completing the course - our feelings were the same a month ago and since speaking to other vets and trainers our feeling of being ripped off have been further supported. This is certainly not a dig at you Brooke - but we think for the price of the course we should have completed TPP Puppy Course without disappointment. Yes some information sheets were emailed after one of the two sessions but why were they not given over in a pack in the first place? Shouldn't everyone spending this amount of money on a puppy course receive all information available? I would think that all this information would be very helpful for any puppy owner...We acknowledge that there is plenty of training to do well beyond the completion of any puppy course and we have kept up training daily, along with hours spent educating ourselves and speaking to other professionals. However as there was no interest in addressing our constructive feedback last week (I would have happily discussed this all over the phone with you - had you chosen to phone to address our feedback) we felt like there was no other option but to share our honest experience completing your puppy course.

Brooke is totally there for the benefit of owners and dogs. She listens to the owners and designs her advice to suit the individual dog. She makes so much sense! We are very pleased with the nonviolent approach to dog behaviour changes.Bluey is a rescue dog and needed to be eased into family life. Brooke helped us understand this and showed us how to do it.Bluey is now developing into the great family member we need. Thanks Brooke.

Brooke is the ultimate Dog Whisperer! We engaged Brooke to assist with transitioning a Cavoodle puppy for my wheelchair bound brother. We learnt countless hints and tips to help with everything from home set-up to training techniques, which will be invaluable as Elvis (the puppy) develops. Brooke's knowledge and experience certainly shines through - she is patient and caring and is the ultimate professional. I would highly recommend Brooke to anyone with a new puppy (or an older dog) as her tips lead to a calm and happy existence for the animals and their humans.

We initially came to the Positive Pet Project a couple years ago to train our new Basset Hound puppy Dudley. Two years on and we continue to use the techniques we were taught at puppy school by Chris. He put us at ease and gave us so much helpful advice. There’s a lot to be said for a trainer who can manage four puppies at once.. without seeming stressed, getting angry or using any negative discipline. This led us to use the pet sitting service at PPP when we went on holiday. Caedmon looked after Dudley while we were away and kept us at ease the whole time by sending us updates and photos. Dudley was calm and happy when we got home and he really seemed like he had a fabulous time. Most recently we booked personalised puppy training for our latest addition - our second Basset Duncan. Brooke came to our place and helped us train Duncan in our small space, with Dudley around. This kind of service you really can not get at puppy classes. She went above and beyond and stayed back far longer than she was meant to just to help with toilet training. The team at PPP has ALWAYS exceeded our expectations and we could not recommend them more highly. Their proven techniques really work, even on our very stubborn boys. I genuinely feel like the PPP love my dogs and just want them to be happy and healthy. Thank you guys for everything you do. We really appreciate it.

Always a thoroughly positive and helpful session with Brooke. Even though my dogs are older and we've been training for years, we have all really benefitted from expertise, support and kindness from The Positive Pet Project. My dogs are happier and life is easier.

Where do I even begin to describe how thankful I am for discovering Brooke and the Positive Pet Project?I desperately needed a trainer for my miniature schnauzer, George. He gets frustrated and barks at other dogs when he’s on lead. He’s extremely vocal if I try to leave him home alone. My dog’s my best friend and I love him, but honestly I felt like he trained me, rather than the other way around! The thing is, I’ve tried another dog training company before. Their methods were forceful and harsh, and I felt exacerbated George’s stress levels. I was losing hope for myself and George, and was about to resign myself to having a troubled dog for the next big chunk of my life. And then I found Brooke and the Positive Pet Project, and I am just SO happy. Brooke is teaching me to train George in a way that is positive, fun, and understanding of my dog’s individual personality. She has gone above and beyond to work on a training plan that is tailored specifically for my dog, rather than a one-size-fits-all-dogs approach. Brooke has a plethora of knowledge and experience behind her that honestly makes her the most trustworthy and reliable trainer. What really stood out to me is that you can tell this isn’t just a job for Brooke, and that my dog isn’t just another dog to her. She genuinely loves dogs, understands them, and respects them. I really feel that Brooke honestly cares about my dog and me, and wants us to succeed just as much as I do. It is such a relief and so wonderful knowing that my dog really matters to her and that she wants the best for him.So if you’re looking for a trainer to help you along the way with your dog, I wholeheartedly recommend Brooke and the Positive Pet Project! Already my dog is showing signs of improvement - he’s calmer, and enjoying life so much more. I am just so grateful for how much Brooke has helped me and George. We couldn’t have done it without her! Thank you SO much for everything you’ve done for me and George so far. You've exceeded my expectations in every possible way, and I can't wait to continue our dog training journey with you!

We have a 17 week old minature Schnauzer and have been training with Brooke from 8 weeks. This is our first dog. The reassurance from Brooke and my hard work has resulted in a very pleasant puppy experience. There is no magic to a good dog. It takes dedication and lots of fun.

Brooke and her team have helped us tremendously over the past 3 months since bringing home our Australian Cattle Dog pup. The uncertainty of raising a well rounded and obedient dog in the midst of COVID-19 isolation was very daunting, however Brooke was extremely flexible and we were able to initially meet with her virtually via Zoom for puppy pre-school sessions. Once the restrictions started to ease, we arranged for three one on one sessions at our house where we had the chance to interact with our puppy and Brooke in the same space. These sessions were vital in building our confidence and helping to shape our relationship with our dog. Through her mix of practical examples, obvious experience and sense of humour, Brooke consistently put us at ease and reminded us to just have some fun!! We would not hesitate to recommend Brooke and The Positive Pet Project to new puppy owners or existing dog owners who simply want to re-engage with obedience but aren't sure where to start. Thank you Brooke!

The Positive Pet Project
We first enlisted the help Brooke at the Positive Pet Project when our puppy was showing signs of anxiety having moved house. Brooke was so great in helping us understand the different ways our dog communicates how she's feeling. Since that initial support, we have seen Brooke a number of times, not just to tackle some problematic behaviours, but to build the positive relationship we always dreamed of having with our dog - particularly one where we could all hang out at the beach together with the doggo off leash! Our dog is a huge part of our life and the positive pet project have been fundamental in supporting us to live the happy life we want with our dog. From feeling like we'd never be able to let our dog off leash, the he enjoyment we get from now going places with our dog is second to none. We really highly recommend this service and want to say a big thank you!
