Great books. Lovely service and rare finds too!

A truly amazing bookshop. They always have a great selection to choose from and the staff are warm, genuine and helpful. You could spend an hour in there just looking through all the books. Compliments especially to the lady working there on Sunday’s (Nancy I believe?). Her service is impeccable and she is such a friendly person.

Good pricing for second hand books. Not the largest store.

Big B Books in Burleigh Heads is our favourite bookstore. Both the owner, Candice and her friendly staff go out of their way to find books you are looking for. It has a great mixture of brand new books and exchange books and covering all topics.The shop puts out newsletters to subscribers to tell them about new releases. They are happy to sent books by mail if customers can’t attend the store, speaking from experience, while recovering from ill health, Candice went out of her way to find me my missing books in a series and mailed them to me, I can’t thank her enough for such excellent service.As a children’s author, Candice gives book readings for children both in store and in schools, helping them along with reading skills. Fellow authors have book releases and book signing at her store regularly.This is all part of the pleasure of dealing with an independent book store where both owner and staff are passionate about books themselves. Can’t get this customer service from chain stores.

A great collection of books , significantly discounted from new price

This quaint little book store is definitely worth a visit. It has a terrific and up to date range of a wide variety of books. The owner is really friendly as well as helpful as are her staff. It’s tucked away in an arcade on Janes Street. Just look for the yellow Social Brew sign and it’ll be there. They also have a cool buy and points system where you can exchange your used books for a discount which increases as your book returns do.

We come to Burleigh Heads to holiday every year ... one of my favourite things to do is check out the stacked shelves from Big B Books. Such a great array to choose from, and especially love I can bring books back and swap or get discounts. It's great to choose from new books, but I especially love that we can recycle secondhand books ... and note, there are no scrappy ones in this shop.The owner, Candice has a formidable knowledge of books and their authors, and is very happy to help customers too. A great addition to James Street.

Absolutely worth a visit to Big B Books. A wonderful team, willing to help you with any questions. There's a fabulous range of books, old and new. One of the best locally owned bookshops on the Gold Coast. Candice is dedicated to providing the best experience while visiting the store. Go check it out, you won't be disappointed. :)
