Way too oversold for such a tiny gym AND constantly still pushing for new members. Seriously, how can you keep selling memberships when it's already always packed full of people as it is. They only have one of every mechanical machine so when its even a little busy which is pretty much all the time you have to sit and queue for them, and stuff is always broken. It smells bad in there too, like grey-water in a dank cupboard - which is unsurprising given the AC unit in the corner is leaking something which has been dripping on the leg press for months now. There's a fleet of PT's walking around soliciting themselves, I watched one of them go around asking every single person if they needed any training basically begging for business. When I joined I was given a starter pack" of 4 "free" PT sessions only to find that the trainers don't get paid for their time doing those and their only incentive is to pick up new clients on the back of them so in good conscience I can't use the training sessions that came with my membership because I know full well I can't afford to become one of their ongoing clients. The bathrooms are filthy. There is one lady who obviously comes in for rehabilitation which is fine

Gym is small, over-subscribed, dirty and it seems like all the amenities are broken. No lockers, handles fall off taps, dirty washrooms, dust everywhere. Not the best.

The change rooms here are dimly lit, they stink of body odour and toilets are never clean. The also do not allow cash payments which is ridiculous. It's just about your money at this gym franchise go somewhere else..

I have no complaints about the gym itself other than being small with limited equipment. However my complaint relates to the access cards. I work long hours and needed a 24hr gym. When I started, they didn’t have any access cards available. Told me to go to another gym to get a card but other gyms told me it’s my home gyms responsibility. Then west end told me it’ll arrive next week etc etc. I kept asking for an access card over and over again for 4 months but every good life gym had no access cards. Then when goodlife took over fitness first, the fitness first members had priority over me with access cards. If they couldn’t look after their own paying customers, I quit and will take my business elsewhere. And magically they had a card available for me. I discovered after I quit that some goodlife like at Springwood can actually let you enter the gym with the app. Something west end should have invested in right from the start and would have kept me as a customer.

Disgusting toilet and rude staff. I brought a friend on weekend, and the girl told us you have 15 mins left, and after 15 mins she would make an announcement for us to leave. Is it really that serious to make an announcement? So rude, bad customer services. I expect something like ‘ We’re so sorry, but staff hours will end in 15mins, visitors are not allowed out of staff hours, is that ok? ‘ will not visit again

Homeless people sleep in the chnagerooms regularly.FEMALES PLEASE BE Aware. I can't comment on Wether the same applies to the female changeroom but please be aware. This is such an unsafe situation I am surprised nothing had been done about it.Some piggyback In. I have seen those with access cards swipe in. It is intensely unfortunate to be in their position, alas I do not think maintaining your gym membership allows you to utilise it to sleep in at night. Shower/toilet/use wifi... Yeah go for it! But sleeping?

Goodlifes' newest gym in Brisbane is big, well set out and clean. They have had problems with the sanitary towel dispensers, they seem to be empty or broken every week, but otherwise, it's a superb gym with new equipment and machines

Their facilities are generally good, but I had to cancel my gym membership with them as they were taking out $26.64 from me every week, yet there were rarely ever any of the exercise classes I was interested in, which was the main reason I joined in the first place really. There were more of the classes I was interested in at first, which is why I stayed for a while, but then they simply lost interest in providing said classes anymore, and I'm not here to fund a gym that isn't providing me with anything beneficial. Also, their online timetables are extremely confusing and not at all useful. There are two timetables for classes online. The one that presents itself first, and so makes it seem like the only timetable on their website, isn't accurately updated, and so you'll look up a class and visit the club, and the class won't be on - which is a waste of time and money for members. I made a complaint about their timetable, and was told that there's a second timetable on the website, it's simply hidden in a very convoluted place, so you have to know it's there in the first place in order to find it. Good to know now, except that there still aren't enough of the classes I'm interested in on offer. To top it all off, after having to complain about said issues, rather than apologising and ending my membership sooner, so that I don't have to pay - they advised that I had to pay for an extra month before I could cancel...so it's a very one sided relationship. Not impressed at all. Some empathy and better care for the customer is definitely required. If you're looking for regularly occurring exercise classes, I'd go somewhere decent. Do your research and make smart choices, and don't commit to long term contracts. I just want to ensure this kind of thing doesn't happen again, just to be good and safe.

Hi, Goodlife west end.I am very happy to have joined Goodlife for almost two years. But recently I found out that my membership fee has increased. At the end of December 2022, I referred my friend to join Goodlife in the West End store. I asked the clerk how long my contract was, and she checked it for me and told me that if I resign my contract, I can continue to pay $15.99. I agreed. But since December 20th, my bill record is still $16.47. And I don't see 2 weeks free either (referred to a few friends before and didn't get free either). These things add up to my great disappointment.
