Katoomba French Hot Bread

This shop has gone down hill, this not the first time I have received stale products. Today we order 2 potatoe pie and 2 American Fudge Brownie. The potato pies had been reheated several times it was almost impossible to bit into the potato and the beef filling you could say was missing just a tiny bit spread across the pastry.The Brownies were stale they taste like they were baked a week ago. Years ago The French Hot Bread shop was good now its a dispointment and wont be back.

GO FOR THE BANH MI!The sweets, pies and desserts are really a hit or miss but the Banh Mi always hits the spot. Given it is their most popular item, the ingredients are refilled regularly and are fresh! I live in marrickville with copious amounts of pork roll shops claiming they’re the best but nothing beats the ones from here.

Such a disappointment. Popped in here spontaneously. I fancied something sweet and normally go for a caramel slice but the ones they had looked nothing like a caramel slice. I thought a bakery that doesn't know how to make a caramel slice would be questionable so I played it safe and got an apple muffin. It was awful. Old, stale and not tasty. After I took the first bite I had a couple more just to confirm it was as bad as I just thought. My girlfriend had a chocolate brownie which to my surprise, was even worse than my muffin. We both had a bite each then binned them. I am no food connoisseur and I'm not fussy about food in the slightest but this really was that bad. I can't comment on the non sweet food here like the bread but I don't have high hopes. Definitely avoid like the plague for sweet food and don't waste your money here.Oh yeah, and a 0.50 cents charge for paying on card to top it off!

We had 2 delicious bahn-mi (chicken and pork) very very well priced ($7.5 and $8), and a $0.80 donut. The ladies at this shop were lovely: what a great lunch!

Had the Vietnamese Pork Roll for $7.50 It was made fresh and was tasty. The only disappointment was paying extra 0.50c for using my visa card.

I come to the blue mountains every coupleof years and have always popped into here, today was the last time. Quality has gone way down hill, both the bread and rolls were stale and had a weird texture and the server seemed disinterested. Could’ve and should’ve picked up fresher bread at the supermarket.

Been here at least 5 times over the past year. Bahn Mi is great (best in Upper Blue Mountains) - fresh, full of flavour and tasty. Bread is great too. Sweets very ordinary - else would have given them 5

Located close to Katoomba station. The bakery shop has a number of bread, cake, pastry, puff and roll options. The lady has a bit of a language problem but she is friendly. We tried the cafe latte and vegetable puff. Well prepared and it was good. Reasonable prices. We did not try any cakes or pastry so cannot comment.

The bacon and egg roll was definitely good. But that’s about it. The bread on the roll was surprisingly very nice.
