We're so happy that Piece of Cake have opened in the neighbourhood. It's our go-to spot for our daily coffee, croissants, pies and cakes. Food is homemade and fresh. My son loves the cookie that comes with my takeaway coffee. Tip: there is no need to ask for butter for the croissants. They taste wonderful on their own without butter.

By far the best bakery I’ve been to since moving to Melbourne. Beautiful flaky pastry on the veggie pastie.My husband had a pepper pie and said that it was one of the best he’s had in a long time. I’m so glad we found this place. Will definitely be back.

Wanted a salad roll/bagel. Sorry no salad. Had to settle for a smoked salmon, when I got home it was very stale. $9.50 for a very very ordinary bagel.

The croissant were all right. They were slightly sweet and I think they aren’t made there everyday.The sourdough bread is decent. In fact their croissant and bread texture is amazing. But it can taste better.Also I saw the almond croissant was flat so ended up not getting one.

Best described as a fusion bakery, Piece of Cake sells not only Western cakes, but also Asian pastries and cookies. Of course, I had to give both selections a try, and was rather impressed by what I had.The Apple & Boysenberry, and Coffee & Almond cake were slightly smaller than I hope, but taste-wise, I had no complains whatsoever. Soft and light, yet with hint of richness from the cream. The former consisted of apple-infused cream and boysenberry jam, while the latter showcased a beautiful coffee cream and raspberry jam. Sweet, tart, and tasty!The Asian pastries were delightful too. The Red Bean and Taro Pastry with salted egg yolk comprised of light and flaky pastry and tasty filling, while the Black Sesame Pastry was similarly delicious. The Walnut Cookies were a bit soft, but yummy nonetheless.
