Great lesson. Really enjoyed it, did as a family with teenagers. Doubted we’d get very far but all quickly made great progress to standing up. Coaches were patient and support with everyone. Good class size. Highly recommended to beginners

“AVOID THIS MAN”i took my second surfing lesson here as this man was the coach.we were a three-person group including two girls and myselfThroughout 2 hour session that he only talked to girls and gave them “specific” instructions and left me scratching my head.Every time i asked him questions that he just told me off saying that i wasn’t focusing but with girls he was EXTRA EXTRA patient. At the end of session when we practiced paddling on board in the water as he spent majority of time with two girls. Every time he came to coach me it always ended up blaming me not listening to him then run to the girls. At beginning i was blaming myself full with self doubts as surfing is not my sport then later i realized he was gaslighting me so he could ditch me asap to talk to girls.ALERTRUN if you see him as a coach if you are a beginner as a man!

Best value surf lessons in Gold Coast. Our coach (can't remember his name, ginger hair) was great, taught all the beginners very well

Did one lesson with them and felt confident to go out by myself after that, they taught you the basics and key fundamentals to learn to surf and I have applied these skills everytime. The instructors were really helpful and friendly and I would recommend this to anyone who hasn’t surfed before. The only minor downside is there was a lot of people in this class and I was worried about riding a wave into them as they didn’t move out of the way.

Did surf lessons on a 3 occasions and rented boards a few times. The owner has always been rude and takes cash only for some items. If you don't have cash, he tells you the location of the nearest ATM even though he has an ETPOS sitting right on the desk. I have it when businesses do this.I have mixed feelings about this surf school, there have been good times, but after the owner was rude once again to me and others on my trip this April, I decided to go somewhere else.

I had surf lessons before at Byron Bay and this surf school was so much better. The lessons in the morning are only with 5- 10 students and I learned so many new skills within the 1:30 hours.

We had the same teacher as Jackie (see ratings below) for our private lesson, really try to avoid him :/I guess this place maybe got some good teachers, but he is not...He maybe a good surfer, but thats not helpful for your classNegativ:-he was rushing us-didnt explain so wellAt the end we still had some fun, because we could use our own expierence.

I’ve to say this is my worst surfing experience in Australia. Clearly they only care about money. The wave and wind condition wasn’t optimal today, so it was a bit challenging for beginners. I took surfing lessons before in Adelaide and NSW, so technically I’m not a total beginner, but it was still difficult to manage. The coaches weren’t encouraged or even tried to help the learners, making the entire experience a total disaster. I’m too disappointed to come back to Gold Coast to try surfing again

I did the beginner surf lesson last week. The staff were enthusiastic and friendly but in the 2 hour lesson I only got about 20 minutes in the water.A few of us had done lessons before and were taken aside after 60 minutes of theory for complete beginners, to be given another 20 minute theory lesson before we got wet.It was frustrating and not great value for money. The class size was also huge, 20+ for 3 in the water instructors. It just seemed like making cash was the priority over providing a higher level of service/better experience for beginners.
