When we were looking for a photographer to capture our special day, we were only looking for the best. When we came across We Are Origami's work, we decided it had to be them.David was so easy to communicate with. He was very prompt and helpful with lots of advice and tips of what to do and when. When it came to our pre-wedding shoot, we were a bit anxious about it as we had never done anything like it before. David was very personable and fun which made us very comfortable during the shoot. It was actually like hanging out with a friend.David was so helpful during the wedding planning process with recommendations for vendors and also a huge help when it came to making the runsheet for the big day. David and his team Khoa, Adrian and Tim were so fun to work with which made the bridal party very comfortable. We had a bit of rain on the day but they were still able to capture amazing photos.We are so happy with the quality and the captured moments. When deciding what was important for our wedding there was one thing we didn’t want to compromise, and that was having a great photographer. David and his team from We Are Origami were exactly that, which was why we had to lock them in as our very first vendor.At the first meeting, David was extremely personable and made us feel comfortable by getting to know us as individuals and carefully listening to our vision. His quick response time, strong communication skills along with his wealth of knowledge on the industry made working with him to be incredibly easy and pleasant.His attention to detail is immaculate, and upon receiving our wedding photos we were amazed by his ability to capture all the little moments that we missed and portray our relationship in such a natural and candid manner. We cannot thank David and his team enough, for it is because of them and their work that we are able to relive our special day over and over again.Wedding planning is one of the most time consuming and stressful things a couple can do in their life, but you can rest easy knowing David and his team will make you look better than your best on your special day. David and Khoa were absolutely lovely to work with on our wedding day, though I must admit I already knew that would be the case as they were also the photographers at my best man’s wedding!Leading up to the day David’s planning was meticulous and he went above and beyond, even calling us the night before the wedding with detailed hour by hour weather forecasts when we were trying to decide whether to switch to our wet weather ceremony venue.On the day itself David and Khoa had a warm and friendly demeanour that put people at ease, with plenty of banter between them and the bridal party making them feel more like friends than wedding vendors. They were able to blend seamlessly into the background during the ceremony and reception, capturing candid moments without being obtrusive. When it was time for formal photos, they were able to direct and pose everyone with ease, making sure everyone looked natural and comfortable.I couldn’t recommend We Are Origami enough as you can tell their priority isn’t just to take great photos but to also make your wedding day run as smoothly as possible!

TLDR: You NEED to have David and the WAO team capture all your special moments! We cannot recommend David, Khoa, Tim and Adrian enough.The first thing we did when we set a date was to reach out to David. We had known David though a few of our other friend's weddings and we knew we must have WAO for our big day. His style of photography and editing is so dreamy, modern and romantic, exactly what we were after.After enquiring with WAO, David took the time to set up a meeting to get to know our vision. He was attentive and detailed in all his responses which calmed our nerves when planning the wedding.During wedding planning, David would offer to help check our run sheet and offer tips and recommendations for other suppliers he's worked with. We really appreciated these recommendations as they were all super professional and high-performing, just as WAO is. This demonstrates the high calibre David and his team operate at.On the big day, David would give tips and tricks on how to look natural in photos, and where to put those awkward floating hands! We also really liked how he and his team would address our parents / elders with 'Aunty, Uncle' - we really did feel like one big family. Even all of our guests made comments about how great WAO were and how at ease they made everyone feel.David went above and beyond with everything he has done for us, including after delivering the photos and videos. It made us feel that having him shoot our wedding really was an investment. His flexibility, prompt responses and general easy-going attitude made what was a stressful day, super not stressful!We loved every moment of our day, thank in large, part to the WAO team who really brought the vibes (even when things were not going to plan). Looking back at our pictures, we knew we made the right decision. We genuinely felt like we were working with friends rather than wedding suppliers. We cannot wait for the next excuse to work with WAO again :)

When looking at We Are Origami's portfolio, we instantly knew David was the photographer for us.At our pre-wedding shoot we were a bit anxious as we've never had professional photos taken before. But David's warm and friendly demeanour put us at ease, that we felt very comfortable in front of the camera. He guided us how to pose, but made it look effortless and candid in the final photos. David is so fun to be around that the photoshoot felt more like hanging out with a friend.On the wedding day, the service from David and his team, Khoa and Tim, was above and beyond what we could have ever imagined. They were patient, engaging, and energetic; which brought out the smiles from our friends and family, perfectly capturing the happiness from our special day.Not to mention on the day it was raining... a lot. But David was quick to think on his feet, giving us suggestions with other photoshoot locations so we wouldn't get drenched. He knows how to find the best lighting, which made a tragically rainy day exceptionally magical on film.One thing that really stood out to us was David's attention to detail. He is able to capture all the little moments that made our wedding day special.David is an absolute pleasure to work with, that we would definitely recommend We Are Origami without hesitation. The wedding planning process is such a stressful process and it’s tough to know if you’ve made the right decision until the big day…. But we can easily say picking David and his team was one of the best decisions we made!You could pick David because of his amazing photo/video taking ability – and that of course factored into our decision. But while David does that beautifully, he and his team are much more than that.David and his team are true professionals who have seen everything there is to see at engagement / wedding shoots and that shows in how they interact with you. He’s super warm and friendly, but also knows how to make those photos look natural in the way he communicates and makes you laugh during the shoots. This extends beyond the shoot and into the planning process for the wedding – David is very responsive and had some great ideas for how to organise the day that really took the stress away knowing we were in good hands! More than that, David and his team go above and beyond. My wife’s wedding dress had some red wine spilled on it on the wedding day, and it was a member of David’s team who knew how to help us clean it up. They were very accommodating for our out-of-town wedding and were so adaptable on the wedding day, managing time overruns and a large group seamlessly. I think the best recommendation for David came from our guests – so many came up to us during / after the wedding and mentioned how amazing our photographers were! So, to David and the team, thank you again for so beautifully capturing our magical day, you have captured such precious moments for us to always look back on many years from now!

David and his team took our photos and videography for our wedding earlier in March this year. We had the best time and many moments of fun and laughter together. Upon the first meeting with David, we felt immediately comfortable around him - he made us feel at ease and at that point we had known that he was the perfect photographer we had chosen for our wedding!David spent a lot of time getting to know us and what we envisioned on our wedding day. He also helped us throughout the planning process and guided us through. My husband and I tend to be a bit camera shy - however with David and his team, everything just felt so natural and fell into place! Thank you so much for the beautiful moments captured!

5 stars - We chose David for a family session and could not have been happier with our choice.Ever since the beginning, David has always been very professional, friendly and prompt in his communication. Any questions I had leading up to the photoshoot, he’s happy to provide suggestions and would assuage any concerns I had. I especially liked how he’s very flexible with the timing of the photoshoot, given my 3 year old was still having afternoon naps and we had difficulties committing to a time. Even after scheduling a time with David, he was still happy to work around my child’s nap, which I thought was brilliant of him.When we finally met David, he was all smiles. He came across as friendly and had a very easy-going personality. My child who doesn’t take to strangers easily, warmed up to David almost instantly. I have to say I was very impressed. I really enjoyed watching the exchanges between him and my child. She had so much fun with David and we had some really beautiful self-portraits of my child from these interactions.Suffice to say, the photoshoot session was fantastic and not stressful at all. Because we weren’t pressured by David at all with time, the session did not feel rushed at all. From the get-go, he had us warmed up to him by chatting with us and getting to know us as a family. My family being camera-shy, didn’t find it difficult posing in front the camera with David expertly and patiently guiding us from the start until the end. We absolutely loved the sneak-peaks sent by David shortly just after the session. These photos ended up being our most favourite photos of them all.When we received the link to the gallery from David, we were so amazed at the photos. David really did deliver. We received more photos than we had expected which was a pleasant surprise. I remembered feeling emotional while scrolling through the photo gallery, and had thought to myself how glad that we made the decision to choose David to capture this precious milestone for our child. His photos evoked all kinds of emotions (positive ones!) in me. They came out looking very natural, timeless, and beautiful. I thought he captured the mood perfectly for us. Thank you so much David for capturing such beautiful photos of our little one. I can’t recommend David highly enough!

When it came to choosing a photographer for our wedding we were recommended by friends who have used We Are Origami and they certainly did not disappoint!From the first meeting, David was professional and very easy to get along with. He asked all the right questions to ensure he captured our story on photos. The pre wedding shoot was fun and engaging - we are very awkward when it comes to posing for photos but David made us laugh so much the pictures looked amazing. The candid shots were definitely our best photos!In the lead up to the wedding we had a lot of communication on location shoots and the exact plan for the day and everything ran smoothly. We are absolutely in love with the photos from our wedding! David and Khoa really managed to capture the full day from different angles.
