Hambley's Supa IGA

A very uncomfortable place to shop in. Staff in there need to take there happy pills before they go to work. Staff are to young to know the meaning of the word Respect not only to know it but show it between themselves and there customers and other people in this world. It also means to me that if you don't show any to the people in this nasty world then your not going to get any back. If you don't know the meaning of the word then please look it up in the dictionary and not only because of this review but also other ones on this review page.People will decide to do there shopping else where and is this something you need or want. Because of it this business will need something to draw them back. As they say the truth always hurts. Please note Respect for others is where it all start from. If you don't know this then start learning. Trouble making people work there and when confronted about it they don't want to acknowledge it and then play the sympathy and victim game. Office staff will come down hard on yourself about what you did but wil not say anything to the trouble making staff member who started it.Shame on you for being one sided.Alot of the times you are over charged with the price of the items not matching the check out prices. Very expensive vege section

Friendly staff always, with the shelves always stocked in a very clean tidy shop, with excellent choices with reasonable pricing

Just your usual IGA. Post office is open til 8 which is great!

Convenient store. More than ever I have a lot of trouble finding a disabled parking bay available due to unauthorized people using these precious resources for their own selfish unauthorized parking. Unfortunately the owners are not interested in helping the disabled community by displaying a sign with notice of fines and ACROD permit required. Other than this problem, great store.

I am a Pensioner just down the road from IGA Sevenoaks so Tried to sign up few years ago for home delivery but the staff could not activate an Online Account for me so went to Woolworths instead.

Bluey Hambley and Jack Taylor owned the original grocery store and Post office at this location when I was a little boy growing up in Queens Park in the 1940's. During and after WW2 my Mum would send me down to the grocery store with her ration book to get our weekly supply of butter, sugar, flour and the likes. Jimmy Natrass had the butcher shop up the road a bit where we bought 2 skinned rabbits for our weekly meat supply. When i was a teenager Jack Taylor gave me odd jobs at the old grocery shop delivering groceries on my bike. My Mum owned the drapery store near Mrs Pollocks Newsagent and she hand sewed lots of boys and girls uniforms for the Catholic school across the Railway line. The Coronation hotel was next to the school. Any other old Queensyites still around? I seem to recall that Bluey Hambley had 2 sons so i guess the current Hambleys IGA is still in the family.
