Food was terrible. Forgot the bacon and cheese on the already cold steak sandwich and then brought out cold bacon and cheese when we told them it was missing. Apparently we have to build our own dinnersThe prawn dish, well there was something wrong here. Smelt disgusting and looked as bad as it smelt. Feels like it was a chore to look after their diners. Hopefully others don't have the same experience.Recommendation would be to steer well clear of this place

Very nice interior of this Irish pub. Plenty of space. Nice and friendly staff. Very good selection of meals. Can also pick the daily specials. Been there twice and meals were great for the price. $5 for a steak. Bargain. Be back Friday night for fish and chips.

The service was acceptable with our food coming out very quickly, and drinks were reasonably priced for the Gold Coast. The only stumbling block was that the main bar smelt like vomit and definitely needs some level of heavy cleaning to remove the smell.

It's a good place for an affordable drink and people watching. Though I found out this morning I have received something kind of 4c surcharge on every drink I purchased, which I wasn't informed about. My partner and I had the $8 steak, which was nicely cooked but beware, they get you with the $5 sides and $3 for sauce and again with that surcharge. Unfortunately I asked for the garden salad as a side and when ordering, asked if the salad came with tomatoes"

Honestly one of the worst experiences on the Gold Coast. We had heard a lot about this place and that is a locals favourite but it was honestly so bad.Every table is sticky. Feels like it hasn't been cleaned in ages.The service was horrendous. The two women behind the bar were so rude and literally yelling back at us while we were being nice and cordial to them. It felt like we weren't even seen as human beings. The whole experience was downhill from there.The food was below par as well the bacon was barely cooked.The only positives about our experience was a the lady taking the food order (Atlas tattoo on her throat) who was smiling and gracious the whole time. Kudos to you for keeping your smile and being nice. It made us feel a bit better about the experience.And the other was the bearded guy running the shift trying to douse fires.I am not the one to write negative reviews for restaurants but I honestly would not recommend anyone to visit the place unless management changed a few things especially the food and level of service especially from those ladies behind the bar who were very nasty.

My opinion on this place comes from during the day. Not much of an atmosphere huge venue, nice size pokie area. Staff were friendly massive outside area most likely popular on weekends

The food was good.But bangers n mash should say Banger n mash.Not sure if you get less, as it was the Wednesday $15 special (it's normally $22).It wasn't very busy but it was midweek.Staff were friendly and helpful.

Good ole Waxys, it's a bit of an institution here on the Gold Coast, right in the heart of Surfers Paradise.Drinks in abundance, but one of the servers' lower fluency of English meant ordering drinks was a little bit more of a task. It's not a big deal. We welcome internationals here, and they do a great job, and it just meant I could teach them a thing or two.Food wise, well, I ordered the right dish I reckon. I had the salmon, and it was fantastic, healthy, and plentiful. Salmon was cooked beautifully, topped with a prawn and all placed on a bed of greens and other veggies. It was truly surprising, so kudos to Waxys.The outdoor seating area is fantastic for social engagement and is a pleasant atmosphere.

Walked in here mid week lunchtime in January 2023. Was fairly quiet but a nice atmosphere with people enjoying their meals and drinks. Has a number of diffent seating areas, with the decor a stereotypical Irish pub. Location wise, right in the action of Surfers Paradise, so well worth checking out if you are ever in the area.
