Newtown Falls
I've been to Beachworth quite a few times but this was the first time I called to take a look at the Newtown Falls.Stunning at sun rise but worth a call anytime, only just off the main road as you leave town

Its right there until you see it. In the heart of city, a big falls. The falls are a series of cascading waterfalls that flow over the sandstone rock formations and it's a beautiful spot for a picnic or a walk.

The family and I stopped for a look at a good little waterfall that has a historical bridge sitting at the top just on the edge of Beechworth.

it not a proper tourist attraction i would said, it just pretty small, neighbourhood like water fall, pretty high and nice sunny day make it look awesome too.

These lovely falls can be viewed from the side of the road. There is a pull off section to park in . They can be accessed from Ford street as you come into Beechworth or as you leave. Or they are at the end of the one way road from the Beechworth historic park.

It’s literally right there on your right when you turn the corner of Gorge St. Looks amazing after fresh rainfall with a huge amount of gushing water. The original bridge in the background was wooden built in the 1800s & was then replaced with this stone one that was built in 1874 & opened in 1875.The scenic drive is currently closed off (November 2022) due to floods, but you can still walk through by foot and see another cascading fall further down.….what a difference a couple of days makes. Last photo is 2 days later & much less water but still beautiful and enough. If you’ve got time, keep walking further down along the track & you’ll get to see some Australian native animals such as the kookaburra and wallabies if you’re lucky.

I didn't know about this picturesque location despite having passed it on the road many times. I just glanced and saw a gorge, then deduced that with all the recent rains there must be a waterfall. It was quite spectacular and the old bridge in the background adds to the decor.

Easily access water falls and cascades within the township. The creek was cut from rock and reminiscence of gold rush days. The stone bridge forms a perfect background for a nice photo, especially on wet season where the flow is quite impressive.

I can honestly say I read about these falls whilst holiday planning, but didn't think it worth the visit. I then came across it by accident as we drove around from one place to the other and was actually quite fascinated. May not be as spectacular as other falls, but it has a charm and character to it. Photos on here don't do it justice (which is why I wasn't interested in intentionally going), and my pics won't do it justice either, but I would suggest a pop by if you're in town, as it is literally just on the edge of this small community by a main road. There is a smaller waterfall to the left side of the main one, although not sure if it runs wet dependant on the rainfall. I visited early Jan.
