Bakery Patisserie Schwarz
A local favourite.It’s not as hip as some more recent bakeries in the mountains (you know who I mean) but it has stood the test of time.I love the open toasted sandwiches and the danishes are great. My favourite though (when my stomach outvotes my waistline) is the Black Forest cake. Oh. My. Word.They also do special occasion cakes to order.

The pie was actually pretty good. I love a pretzel but mine was stale… there was also numerous flies on various baked goods in the open air which was disgusting to see. Service was subpar, unfortunately which dampens any mood.

Ordered a beef/potato and steak/red wine pie. Both were delicious, one of the best pies I've had. Highly recommend the Portuguese tart. The coffee was okay.

Good advantage since it closes at 5pm. Available parking and good choice of munches + pies + soup. Coffee is okay. Don't be surprised with prices... did enjoy my visit and yes am coming back...

If you're looking for handmade German cakes, pastries and of course breads, then Scharwz is the place to be. The cakes are not overly sweet and are quite light and delightful. There is a drinks menu and no table service. You order at the counter.There are plenty of seating indoors and out, though be aware that this bakery patisserie is often busy and the seating can be hard to come by. Staff are courteous and friendly. The stollen is hard to resist also.There is parking in the front of the shop, along the street and there's the railway station car park across the road.

Visited this bakery while I was in the blue mountains, they have so many options from fresh bread, pretzel and a lot of delicious cakes. I’ve got their pretzel and it was so fresh and chewy brought me back memories from my visit to Germany!

Checked out this place when we recently went up the mountains. The pies were lovely. Would come and visit to try the rest of the stuff .
