We celebrated a birthday at Le Bon Ton and it didn’t disappoint- the corn bread is must as are sampling a selection of the pit smoked meats. Serving sizes were generous. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Beef brisket and pork belly were great. Melt in your mouth fat with a smoky overtone. Great cocktail selection and music to go with the experience. A must for meat lovers.

Love Le Bon Ton! It's easily one of the best American BBQ restaurants in Melbourne, and pretty good value too.

I’ve tried all (figuratively, but at least 6) the American BBQ joints Melbourne has on offer (expat American, arrived in Australia in 2016)… this place is by far the closest and most authentic spot I’ve found yet!Pulled pork is moist and had that flavour I have been craving for since I’ve arrive — the mustard sauce that accompanies the pork is spot on and isn’t a mask for bad flavour on the pork, but an enhancement and they mesh perfectly into a mouth watering experience. Jalapeño beef sausage was quite nice and gave me just what I was after. Sadly, I just missed the burnt ends of brisket, but next time I’ll be sure to arrive earlier just for that.Cornbread (HALF POUND! {450g}) gave me such a satisfying nostalgia and whatever the spread is (maybe a honey butter??) is like magic!I liked the vibe, very vampiric Louisiana as the name Le Bon Ton suggests — they did it well.Downside was it was LOUD, and would not make for a intimate date night, at least not where I was seated. The spot stays open later for drinks, which isn’t a bad thing, it’s just I wasn’t ready for how much chatter, at such a loud volume, was being had. Not an issue per se, and certainly doesn’t detract from the overall pleasure of finding this place, just some something to mention for those looking for something with a lower volume.Will be back, will bring my partner, will come hungrier next time, and will certainly share the name for those looking for great American BBQ.Pictured food, plus a cocktail with rye whiskey, was $99 + card surcharge. Food came to be a full second meal as a takeaway, as my eyes and nose were bigger than my stomach and the portions were ample!

Amazing American-style food! We got the smoked brisket, pork belly, kitchen salad, potato salad, corn bread (with maple butter) and the Chilli cheese fries. Have already recommended this place to my friends. Great, swift, friendly service and a big garden space out the back if you don't want to dine inside. Try the cherry bomb sauce it's a winner!

Excellent food and the wait wasn't too long. Not too many veggie options, but given the type of restaurant it is. I expected that. They are very accepting of kids in their restaurant and have high chairs available and space to park the pram.Tables of all sizes so you can book one for 4 to 12 people.I do suggest maybe getting public transport to this restaurant. As there is hardly any parking around.

Thanks for an awesome smoked meat lunch, the chef came out with some brisket for my little pooch!!!! It’s was delicious and well worth the drive ( 1 hour). Those fried onions rings and the brisket, superb, will definitely be back with Daisy, and family.We ate in the courtyard , ( had the dog) , but loved the inside vibe.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Had a great night sharing the meat platters and multiple sides. Good old classic American Style BBQ in a rustic upper-market pub environment. Will definitely be returning.

A great place for meat lovers, casual, busy and laid back. Also, ordering some absinthe was a bit of fun as it was served in style. Good for a relaxed and hearty group catchup.
