Kersti and staff have been very helpful in assisting with our dog's separation anxiety. We are at the beginning of a journey and are confident of good results.

We adopted our dog from a pound and she had been abused so had a number of behavioural issues, including severe separation anxiety.We initially consulted with a dog trainer for help but had a horrific experience and did not realise that the industry was unregulated and the only regulated body within Australia for animals are Veterinary Behaviour Specialists. We have been seeing Dr Thurtell who has taught us numerous behavioural modification techniques along with the right medication to ease our dog’s anxiety.We have seen a night and day difference in our dog’s behaviour. It has only been 2 months but she has made incredible progress. Dr Thurtell is professional, knowledge and personable. She provides us with amazing weekly support. It is expensive but it is worth every dollar and the weekly support is included in the cost of the initial consultation fee.I cannot recommend Sydney Animal Behaviour Service enough.

Asked for strategies to help and was suggested many medications instead, weaning my dog off them now and he is no better after all the consults by phone, the vet never met him
