Trek Climb Ski Nepal

A group of 3 we trekked through the Goyko and Everest Valley's in Jan/Feb 2019. The information prior to the trek was first class and contacting the company was never a problem. From arrival in Kathmandu to departure we were well looked after by our guide Gyan who took every care to make sure we were supported all the way through. The guided tour in Kathmandu was a bonus as it provided a great insight into the capital's culture. The trek itself was quite the adventure. With a particularly cold winter and lots of snow in the Gokyo Valley, we were challenged as we walked to Gokyo. The encouragement of our guides Gyan and Lukpa was particularly important when we climbed through deep snow to get up Gokyo Ri. Our itinerary then changed as ChoLa Pass wasn't safe to cross and we greatly appreciated Gyan's flexibility to make sure we got to Everest Base Camp on a day where the weather was going to be clear. Similarly on our return to Lukla to get the flight out on the only clear day for a week. While I would recommend trekking in the warmer months this was the adventure of a lifetime and will stay with us forever. The support of the Trek Climb Ski Nepal was fantastic and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Mera Peak Expedition - October 2022The expedition with Trek Climb Ski is difficult to describe other than an amazing experience with a first class organisation. The whole journey from arrival in Kathmandu and returning back was extremely well organised and catered to everyone's specific needs.The TCS team of awesome leaders (Nick & Tika), Sherpa guides, cooking staff and porters made our trip that much better in all areas. The acclimatisation program and care factor for our group and their staff was second to none. We recently completed the Mera Peak Trip and I could not have made it without the skill, knowledge, expertise and support of this team! We had a great group of climbers, sherpas, kitchen staff, porters and guides and every one of them made the trip fantastic. The food was great, the team was always happy and we had a lot of fun on the way. I researched a lot of companies before going, and saw a lot of other companies on our trek, some of which had nobody summit, and I am happy that I made the choice to go with TCSN, from the first point of contact to the end of the trip and even after arriving back home safety the service was second to none and I felt comfortable throughout the entire experience.Another thing I love about this company is they are not just in it for themselves, they do some great work within the Nepalese communities and also run some fantastic programs.For anyone planning a trip to Nepal I could not recommend TCSN highly enough!

Doing a high altitude mountain trek was something I had wanted to do for 25 years. What would it feel like to be high in the mountains? How would my body respond to the reduced levels of oxygen? My goal was to get above 20,000 feet. As someone who had turned 75 in August, I knew my window was finite.I reached out to Nick Farr after learning about Trek Climb Ski Nepal from a Goggle search. While Nick was skeptical and a bit concerned about someone my age joining the trip, especially since I live in California and there was no way to meet in person before the trip. But he gave me the chance to get verification of my overall health, and at some level tested me to see if I was serious and committed.The end result was the trip was everything I had hoped it would be. Tika and his team, from the youngest porters to the high-altitude Sherpas, were fantastic from the day of arrival in Kathmandu to the final day of the trip. They did what only the truly competent and committed can do - they made the difficult and complex seem easy and seamless, doing everything possible to ensure our safety, while doing nothing to diminish the fun and adventure.No matter how fit, the key to high altitude success is a careful acclimatization plan. Nick had a careful and methodical plan to incrementally increase our altitude through a series of challenging days of long uphill and, to me sometimes seemingly endless, downhill treks from camp to camp. Nick's process not only maximized our acclimatization, but also increased our confidence that we would be safe and successful once on the glacier and moving toward summit day.Standing on the summit of Mera Peak was an incredibly emotional and satisfying moment, shared with wonderful new friends. I cannot thank Tike and his team and Nick for making it possible.
