Staff were friendly. Food was mediocre. My salt and pepper squid was luke warm, No tarte sauce. Veal schnitzel came with the wrong gravy.

Easy to park and access, we visited for lunch on a Wednesday as received a voucher that we thought we would use. The venue is large with lots of areas, it was a bit dark in the inside dining area so we sat outside, fairly clean but the tables felt a bit greasy. Easy to order with a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready, There is a hamburger food truck and the food leaving the truck looked good and we should have ordered from there but we got 2 meals from the bistro. The food came out quick but unfortunately it was below average, We had the Thai beef noodle salad & the fisherman's basket. The beef on the salad was minimal and the beef did not look fresh at all. The fisherman's basket was really poor, served on a plate, some of the fish pieces were stodgy & the calamari was very plain and both meals were not presented well. It's a shame that food let the venue down as it has the potential to be a great place.

Disappointing visit, good service but dining room very dark so decided to eat outside, looked clean but tables felt kind of sticky, food wasn’t great, Thai beef salad was ok but hardly any beef (5 small pieces) and the few pieces on it were over cooked, my partner had the fisherman’s basket, that was a joke, no basket, small, 2 types of seafood??, nice calamari but so pale it looked bad, few lumps frozen (not fresh) rubbery fish, either that or it had been cooked 3 times and I wouldn’t call a few leaves dumped on a plate covered in dressing a salad, whole thing didn’t look appealing at all, best thing was the wine, was hoping to find our next best local lunch spot but won’t be back! Only gave 2 stars for the service and wine.

Place is nice enough. We ate from the bistro and food was reasonably priced. Drinks were overpriced. Purchased a bunch of cocktails without the alcohol (for kids) and still got charged the full cocktail price. I think we got special hour price of $10 per cocktail . So we paid $60 for 6 lemonade and watermelon drinks.

This place has really gone downhill. It used to be quite good.We ordered a beef stroganov pie and received a strange chicken pie with packet gravy that wasn't even on the menu. The steaks felt like they had been pre-cooked and then quickly heated on the grill before serving. No grilled steak flavour at all. The chicken curry was also pretty bad and did not match the description on the menu. Seriously bad quality for bistro pub food.

Taren Point Hotel
Went there recently with the sales team, food was great. All meals were brought out together. The service was outstanding. Would highly recommend this venue.
