Generous portions, inexpensive for the quality, lovely service and a great night out. Absolutely loved the Negronis. The best desserts I've had in Sydney. Memories of a Mirabelle Tart = divine. Thanks Neil Perry and team!

We really enjoyed the dining experience at Margaret - most dishes were freshly cooked to order which is scarce these days. Service was professional.Highlights were Foccacia with confit garlic & parsley oil, Spanner Crab, pomelo & sweet pork salad and Grilled Whiting.

Beautiful space. Friendly staff. Food was what you would expect, high class ingredients, beautifully cooked. We had tartare, bream, agnolotti and prawns. All generous and right on point. Probably the most amazing things were the layered, garlicky, creamy, crunchy potatoes. Flourless chocolate cake with mascarpone and coconut sorbet was a perfect finish.I reckon I am a tough judge but this was pretty faultless. Bound to become a Sydney/ Double Bay institution. Well done chef.

I had a great meal here with my parents the other week. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My Negroni was nice as was the coffee after dinner. Definitely worth visiting

Had such a lovely dining experience here at the Margaret! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted, staff were super attentive and they know their menu well. We were recommended the perfect amount of dishes ( and drinks!) for the night as we wanted to try…. Literally everything. Dishes came out well timed and complimentary to each other. Ambiance was also lovely and lively, everyone seems to be enjoying their meals and having a great time! Every dish were made with fresh ingredients and flavourful. Highly recommend and would definitely visit again when I’m back in Sydney! Well done team and thank you Ash who was our server!

A great venue which offers a well diverse à la carte menu with a splendid selection. Peppers are a must try as well as the XO butter fish. Service was considerate and we had a good time.

A Newington College Boy doing his school so so proud.Fine dining at Margaret. All delicious flood across all our shared courses. A little salty in many dishes otherwise very good and worthy of the reputation.Quite busy on a Saturday lunch.

A delicious and memorable dining experience. An excellent menu where every dish was perfectly seasoned and filled with delicious, unusual flavours. Don’t skip the sides or the desserts - especially the peas, potatoes and flourless chocolate cake. Staff was also incredibly helpful and friendly.

Good restaurant starts with great service. Despite the fact that it was full house, there was never a delay in being attended to.The swordfish was cooked just at the edge of being pink and white.While the back ground music was polite (not dance music like most restaurants) the environment was overall very noisy. This made having a conversation difficult. This is the only criticism.Would recommend for the difference in food.
