They are excellent for customer service

A big thanks to store management when I delivered my VAX for the second time, every 6 months, for a battery related issue and losing it 3 weeks at a time. Having frequented this store as a second generation customer I was delighted with the managers customer service when I expressed my concerns that this VAX wasn't fit for purpose and wanted a refund to purchase another vacuum - from this store and putting the money back into the till. Okay, enough of the joke. Consumer law is there to protect consumers from situations like this. Working in retail sales myself, I have a good understanding of said rights. Instead of simply adhering to the laws I was told I would receive a trade-in value. Sorry, but no. I was told I had to call Godfrey's customer service. I threatened to involve the ombudsman where I was referred to the state manager. Finally I was given a full refund after a 20 minute conversation. Fair to say I'll find an alternative shop from now on. In a time where the internet is taking business away from the small independents, it's a shame that this style of operation still goes on.

My partner and I were served by Connie who did a fantastic job. We had an issue that she handled really well and diffused the situation.She was under a lot of pressure as well as there were quite a few customers coming in at that point but she handled everything like a pro :)

Carrie was an amazing help!! I came in with a steam mop that needed a handle and she just whipped a second hand one out and off I went with a huge smile! Excellent service with a smile! It was a hot day and it was deliciously cool inside! Great experience overall, highly recommend

Very helpful and friendly staff

I went to this store on Saturday afternoon and was impressed by the friendly, professional and helpful salesman. He readily showed me a variety of vacuum cleaners and swapped the parts as I asked. The shop was clean and the stock set out neatly and was well presented. The parking just at the back door is easy to access and the salesman carried my purchase to the car for me.A positive experience all round !

Honestly terrible customer service. And I’m willing to be adaptable in situations after working in retail. I don’t know if this is a franchise or not, but don’t bother with this store. It’s like being a customer is a chore for them, let alone getting advice/help beyond what is on the tag or sorting a solution.
