Excellent food. We had crispy calamari for the kids, lamb shoulder, seafood linguini, two other salmon dishes, complimentary toasted sourdough bread with olive oil (Greek style) and complimentary shot of musket to finish but not before enjoying dessert! Which was the apple crumble and chocolate brownie. We had a table for 6 outside with view of the pool and garden. Everything was excellent and we received the best service from Byron who really made our lunch extra special. And Suzie at reception was so friendly and helpful. On our next visit to Portsea we will visit again.

I stayed here on a Business retreat with about 30 others. It was a great place, clean, spacious, the staff were friendly.A few things I didn't like and thought was disappointing1- our business organised for us to have a pool party/bbq which we were all excited about. When the food came out (kind of like buffet) it looked delicious. Unfortunately, majority of the chicken skewers were raw. I did eat one that was cooked and it tastes delicious, but everyone else's was raw. we had burgers, which were very simple, appeared and tasted as if they were store bought parties and was very very disappointing. Didn't taste good, and the Mince was also raw. Dinner was also late by about 30 minutes.2- it's a shame that the pool/gym etc are only opened from 8-8. Most people will workout prior these times, normally about 6am. And because we had activities planned this made it very difficult. Being summer it was a shame that the pools were closed and we couldn't swim. Same as an early morning swim would have been great.Other than these two issues, it was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay again on a personal trip!

The location and facilities at this motel make it one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. We stayed on level 2 which gave us a view of portsea plus the ocean plus the beautiful grounds. The only disappointing thing we’re noisy guests on one of the nights with no night staff to manage the police visit. Having staff onsite or close by would have had the situation resolved quickly and us enjoying a good nights sleep

I spent three days at the resort. What stood out for me was my dinning experience with Simon the restaurant owner. He went out of his way to make some exceptional meals. He did all the service himself and made sure all dinners had hot meals served on time. Simon also provides services outside the restaurant like birthdays or weddings. I would recommend you try him.The resort is at a great sport, a few minutes walk to the pier, the beach, historical sites and the pubs. It's has good sized rooms that can accommodate big family or group.

We just had the most wonderful five day stay at Portsea Village. The staff are lovely, the rooms are spacious and clean with lots of provisions, clean towels and comfy beds. The gardens and pool area is beautiful and very well maintained. The breakfast hamper was fantastic and the food at the restaurant is really amazing! We have stayed there many times and we can't wait to go back!

I came here for my 30th birthday weekend and it was such a beautiful stay - I wish it could have been longer. The apartment was SO SPACIOUS which I absolutely love and had a super comfortable couch and bed and big balcony we enjoyed breakfast on. The pool is heated - which i think is VITAL in Victoria, as you never know what weather you will get even in summer and you want to be able to use your hotel facilities even if it's not 32 degrees. And then there's a heated indoor pool and spa even if the weather were really bad. I love the Dutch kinda European style aesthetic. And it is in a great little location close to the water (Across the street) and cute cafe/restaurant/beergarden.

Beautiful on outside, room was another story had snot wiped all over the fancy" pillows. Air-conditioning was loud and leaking. No room cleaning while we stayed. No restaurants or bars open only on weekends.. we left a night early as we couldn't bare to stay another night. $210 night isn't worth it honestly. Now out of pocket money because of the standard the hotel kept. Not happy."

Overall it was a good stay. The room was as described, the facilities were great however we were in one of the 3 apartments in the resort that have been held onto by the previous owners. I was unaware of this when booking but it made us feel a little bit like outsiders on our trip. The lady had to meet me with the key, at a pre arranged time, which was abit odd that I couldn’t check in like usual at the reception anytime between the hours of 2PM & 6PM. Due to this we also weren’t allowed certain services from the resort - we weren’t allowed to use pool towels provided, and we did not receive the advertised apartment cleaning, which for a 5 day stay we really needed fresh towels and our bins emptied! We also didn’t get the advertised foxtel in our room. I had to ask for the wifi password, which at reception the lady manning the desk I don’t think realized which room I was from and looked at me strangely like it’s on your key card, but it wasn’t as we had a different type of key. In the scheme of things these aren’t huge deals but it was just strange and made us feel abit uncomfortable during our stay. If I had of booked through air bnb or something like that I would understand but I booked through the hotel website so expected everything that was advertised.
