Had a number of jobs on my trusted 100 series Landcruiser carried out by the team at Gulf Auto Repairs, Normanton. Jarrod (owner) runs a good shop with a young team of mechanics who know their stuff and appear to work well together. The “rose among the thorns” is Jarrod’s wife, Ash, who does a great job managing the office and finances. I was more than happy to give my business to a young couple with a young team who are making a go of it in a remote area.

Got my vehicle repaired here 2yrs ago and after reaching the Gold Coast found out I could no longer engage 4wd as he hadn't put my upgraded gears in the new diff housing leaving me with unmatched diff gears. Chased him for awhile to find my gears guessing he threw them out as I have never heard back from him. I was warned by locals not to go there but had no other option. So totally disappointed

Pulled in late afternoon to Gulf Auto Repairs with a leaky wheel bearing. They saw us straight away, jacked it up and checked it all out. No work required but wouldn't take any $$s for their time. Great service, thanks guys.

Went above and beyond to help us out when we blew two tyres. Michael towed us to Normanton and was very professional and friendly. Jarrod and the team did everything they could to get us back on the road and it was all done by 5.05pm on a Friday! That wouldn't happen in the city! Thanks again guys!

One of the best regional service centers, fitted us in on the day as we were travelling though with our ford ranger. Very reasonable pricing and well equipped shop. If you’re looking for a midpoint service on a long trip would highly recommend.

We needed a radiator flush after replacing the header tank. Was very last minute but Jarrod fit us in and picked up another issue that we had fixed in Cairns. He was awesome, definitely recommend this place.
