I left messages on two occasions, but no one returned my calls.

Have been taking my pets here for many years, also out in QBN. I love the service here and I trust the vets.

Made an appointment and told the receptionist over the phone that my rabbit's tooth need trimming. At the consultation they then told me the rabbits tooth needed trimming under anaesthetic and that I need to see another vet. I was charged $100 for the exact thing I told them over the phone. I am not sure why they couldn't tell me to contact the other vet over the phone and save me my time and the cost of a pointless consultation?

I love the Gables. You get a very friendly, personal 'country vet' experience and they treat your best friend like treasure. Reasonable pricing as well with excellent parking.

I have never had a more awful experience at a vet. We have been going here for years and today was the first time we have had Mark (the owner) nd his assistant. My dog was scared at no point was food offered to try and gain his trust or any attempt at a connection. I asked if they could give him a treat to make him feel more comfortable. A treat was given however i was then told food wasn't used as they dont want to treat the dog for being scared.... the assistant was rude and i had to ask twice for a time i could bring him in to get familiar with the vet outside of 11-2 as i work full time. I received a snippy response. Extremely dissapointed in the attitude i received and felt Extremely uncomfortable

If you can get in, I highly recommend The Gables. Their vets are very caring from my experience and their staff are so lovely.

I am a 'hands on' sort of a person with regard to my own health and the welfare of my furry friends and value substance over 'bedside manner'. I find the practitioners at the Gables are willing to share in the thinking behind diagnosis and treatment and I greatly value this. Highly recommended.
