Terrible. The waiter didn't know what they were doing. 1+ hour wait for starters and close to a 2 hour wait for mains even though we were only 1 of 4 tables in there. Speaking from a chefs perspective, nothing there should have taken more than 30 minutes to cook. End of night tried to charge us $50 for a $8 bottle of wine that wasn't on their wine list after corking the bottle we ordered. Definitely gone down hill since my wonderful experience there last year. Won't be returning.

terrible experince! we had a booking for new years eve and when we got there they let us know they werent doing any mains and only serving 4 of the tapas. the restruant was so quite yet it took 40 minutes for us to get our tapas. for the cost of the tapas there is not enough food served. an overall terrible and disapointing experince!!! wouldnt reconmend to anyone.

Ate here pre COVID and it was awesome, thought I'd revisit but it's gone downhill. Mains came out at different times, half my table had finished before some of us got our meals and when I got my pork belly it was overcooked and dry, actually couldn't eat it all and I love my pork belly! Service was inexperienced (not trained properly), got the wrong drinks, no prices on drinks menu, way overpriced. Very ordinary.

Disgraceful! Firstly menu is completely different to the online menu, Looking forward to tapas, minimal variety. Ordered our meals and mine was completely wrong, my friend didn't even get there meal. I ordered an eye on mash, received a scotch fillet that was inedible. I asked the waitress why my meal does resemble whats on the menu. Her response that's how we do it. Other patrons walked out before us for the same reason. meals not received and waited to long. The restaurant was not busy. First ever time I have walked out.

Friendly waiting staff. But for all the decor promising it to be an authentic Spanish restaurant, it is far from it. It's hybrid, I'd not even go as far to say fusion, of Spanish, Italian and Mexican. It's a confused menu pretending to be of Spanish origin.We went for 3 tapas dishes one of which was trying to imitate a patatas bravas, with chorizo". They had clearly misspelled "bacon" as "chorizo".Look for the price it's ok

If it was just about the service this would be a full 5* rating, because it was a warm hospitality feeling, great, friendly and very fast. And all with a welcoming smile.But the food was just ok to be honest. Some really nice tapas and meals, like the duck, some a bit average, like the ribs. So, middle ground. 4* experience.

Booked for New Years Eve. When we turned up there were only 2 tables of customers and lot of tables covered in dirty dishes. We were told they didn’t have our booking but would check. 10 minutes later it was obvious he forgot about us. We were taken to a table out the back and when we asked for a table near the window we were told they were closing. I checked their booking app and there were bookings available after ours! We were told there was no chef and only tapas available.We decided to leave and had a great time elsewhere.Black Bull was the best restaurant in Geelong and the new owners have very quickly ruined it. Good job!

Black Bull Tapas Bar and Restaurant
Wouldn't really call this a bar... But it definitely a restaurant with fairly large serving sizes. Got the duck and paella as mains. Both were delicious. Very underwhelmed by the tapas.
