Access through gate on edge of town, has shade shelter and seating, no camping here but it is available on opposite bank at Birdsville Caravan park which has great facilities at reasonable cost. The billabong is a haven for water birds, finches and budgies.

Amazing to see so much water after driving through the stoney desert. No wonder the birds flock to Birdsville. Don't miss Pelican Point around sunset !!
