Local gem in the 'burbs. Great variety of Japanese cuisine from sushi train dishes, sushi rolls, Bento boxes, Udon/ramen noodles etc for you to choose from. Not a fancy authentic Japanese but a favourite to the locals. They have a couple of nice sunken private booth for groups.

We went out for lunch on Sunday. We ordered cheese katsu, Salmon roll and kids set.First of all, we really disappointed about Rice! It was way too overcooked.... way to sticky..Roll didn't have much flavours. Katsu was crispy and nice.We very surprised about kid's meal set! Around $10, they gave 2 pieces of prawns tempura, udon and 2 pieces tuna roll! Also you can choose one drink or jelly.

Went to Aburi House as they had a sushi train. We had ordered of the menu and had few plates of the sushi train, 1 adult, 3 kids (8-13 yo).Ordered 1x ramen (Tonkatsu with karage chicken), 2x plain udon and 1x kids meal (2). Ramen was nice, great flavour and serving size was descent, price was slightly (think $19.20) bit more than I would have expected - but overall am happy with it. Plain udon, descent size for $6, can't complain. Kids meal, not what i expect for $12.95, and nothing really Japanese as it contained a piece of chicken katsu, edamane, chips and jelly or juice. I expected something a bit more, but it was served in a 3D car plate (if I remember correctly).Sushi train - found it bit overpriced, price ranges from $5.70 to $9.70 and nothing really special about it. $5.70 was like 3x chicken teriyaki/katsu chicken. Had tried some in the $7 range, and found them to be filled with Tuna on top nicely presented. However, I found it a bit spoilt when I found Tuna in a few more dishes than i would expect. Some sushi wasn't fresh as I found some rice were slightly hard like they have been stored correctly.Sorry, no photos as it was quite a late meal with the kids and no time for photos. Their loyalty stamp system not great either as it is 1x stamp per meal (with minimum $20 spent). I had spent almost $120 with the kids. The service was great, no complaints there. Staff were super helpful and friendly, and gave us options of where to sit and patiently waited while my kids decided. Well done staff. Overall, most likely not return as it wasn't anything special and it was quite an expensive meal for us.

Thanks for your prompt response, please note I DID NOT ORDER through UBERTEAT, in fact, I ordered by phone and PICKED IT UP MYSELF IN STORE at 6:49PM on Sunday 9th April 2023. The lady who served me also asked me what I had ordered. I have also noticed the invoice is for DELIVERY, INV. 00022023040936, and I paid cash. Apparently I have been overcharged.Regarding to the eel, as I described it was whole one piece, the 6 pieces were the PICKLED RADISH, what I was trying to say it was plain and lack of sauce.........................................................................................................I ordered takeaway for dinner, the food quality was really poor, but price was super high. Chicken kastu curry $23, curry tastes salty rather curry. chicken karagge $16.6 (five small pieces), Unagi don $27.5, a bowl of plain rice with a few drip of sauce and a piece of eel, 6 pieces of small radish… As a chef (used to work in Japanese restaurants for years), this food quality not worth its the price.

Pretty good sushi place in the suburbs. Has a sushi train and extensive ala carte menu.Sushi is tasty and fresh. Lots of different sushi to try and all were quite amazing. Had a feast while here. Definitely one of the best sushi places in Southern River or in the canning vale area for sure. The sushi train adds another bonus to coming here!!

Service was great. The concept of the restaurant is also great, with a sushi train and a la carte menu with a wide selection. But the quality of food was poor, the sashimi was low quality and the kingfish and scallops were burried under sauce so you can't even taste the sashimi. We couldn't finish our meal as the pork belly was very smelly, seemed unfresh, and tasted very off. When given feedback (even though we weren't after any compensation) the chef said it's the aburi char smell which it clearly was not. Regardless, waitress was apologetic and we appreciated that. Disappointed because the concept of the restaurant has such potential, but the fried food sounds like it is the more popular dishes so perhaps try those.

I could tell the food was not authentic Japanese cuisine from the beef in my beef don. The beef was supposed to be high in fat content and thinly sliced so that it almost melt in your month. The beef I got was lean and chewy. The curry also lacked potato, carrot and onions. And please please please do not serve tempura soaking in soup…..

Another japanese restaurant worth visiting. We enjoyed our lunch with the family. All foods served hot. Quick service and friendly staff. They have high chairs for kids. They have a sushi train where you can pick whatever you like. Plates are color coded for the price.

Plenty plenty, size of dishes, flavour, creativity and types of dishes for a local eatery is impressive. The price of the main menu is really reasonable. Fresh fish which is very important and they definitely deliver. The sushi train is a bit pricey but considering the size of those dishes and the type of sushi its reasonable. I would suggest though reducing amount on the plate and cost per plate to entice eating more choices as you can fill up too quickly on only a couple of dishes.Friendly multicultural staff and lovely manager Eve introduced herself which is impressive.Great impression overall.

Pricey with minimal selection on the sushi train. You probably have to order the stuff you want. The sushi is alright. The curry ramen with karaage chicken is not recommended. At $19 a serve The broth is cold, noodle undercooked and the onsen egg is just a plain egg.. not soaked in soya. The karaage is hot but there is no spices in it. Just plain fried chicken. Presentation is good though.
