Aussie Beef Steakhouse
Great place for a good quality steak, cooked to perfection. We also had the bread and dips to start, the tapenade was delicious and the Turkish bread really good. Second time we come here for dinner, we will come back for sure.Make sure you book your table, they get quite busy.

Very happy we chose to have dinner here. With no reservation we arrived for dinner opening at 5.30pm on Tuesday night. The restaurant was half full by 6pm.Our cheesy garlic bread entree was to die for - must order. We both had a steak for dinner, hubbies was cooked medium but my medium rare was medium well. That was not a deal breaker though because it was still very tender and tasty. The sides were just as good as the steak. Simple done well!I asked to try 2 of their reds and the waitress came out with 3 generous sized tastings. Thank you! In fact the service was really lovely all round. Well worth the $. We will be back next time we drive through.

Had dinner there for the second time in 6months and it was a disappointment again.Staff were lovely but they got the order wrong and the steak wasn’t much good. I ordered a medium and it was over cooked. The same happen to my wife.One of Stanthorpe’s shortcomings is that is a shortage of good food outlets and this place isn’t lifting the town’s reputation of a premier wine region.The pubs in town make a much better steak.

Our Dinner (party of 4) is a good memory from beginning to end. Welcome greeting with a nice warm fire in the background, Dinner was served in acceptable time as there were a few parties dining that night, Steaks and Duck tasted good, with the 3 pepper sauce getting several good comments. Staff helpful and friendly. As I said ,good memory!

It was so good I forgot to take pictures. I had the porterhouse with chips a d salad and my plate was completely empty. In a group of 7 the chef managed to cook all our steaks perfectly. Things were a little slow service wise having sat for nearly 20 minutes without someone approaching us for drinks or our order which is why I gave service 4 stars only. From then on though the night was great. It was a full house not an empty seat in the place.

Had dinner at the Aussie Steak House last night and I can’t say I’m impressed. To start, they didn’t come and take our order for about 30-45 minutes. I ordered the mixed grill and before doing so I asked if the ribs were marinated and they said “Yes, in a honey garlic marinade.” I asked for no slaw on my plate.Everyone’s meals came out at different times with mine arriving last 15 minutes later than the meal before mine. Guess what? With slaw and no sausage, the ribs were plain and dry - not marinated in the slightest. My father-in-law bought the same and had the same issue. When paying, we bought this up and still got charged full price ($52!) even though I would have been lucky to have eaten half my meal. You would think the most expensive meal on the menu would be quality. I’m very disappointed and will never be coming back. I would urge other prospective customers to avoid.
