I’ve just had solar panels installed by Roland Lawrence Electrical. He was highly recommended by a friend which I think is important, as one hears about horror stories where poor installation and faulty product spirals out of control.The whole experience was so positive I thought I should share. Roland took time to give me all the options, explained exactly what I should install and which product was most appropriate for my needs. He required a whole year’s electricity bills so he could calculate this accurately.The installation was carried out professionally. He liaised with neighbours, his team coped with strong winds and trying conditions on the day and then he came for a post-installation update meeting, to make sure I understood exactly how to interpret the data and optimise my savings.I can’t recommend him, and his team, more highly.

I did had quite a few quotes from different companies but RLE were the only installers who diligentely took the time to get up on my roof and accurately define angles and measurements and if the roof was stable enough for the panels to go on, and for the safety of their team. The pitch was non-pushy, honest and friendly. They'd been recommended by so many other too, which was comforting.The install day was stress-free, and the installers were very friendly and so polite. The electricians took their time to explain any concerns or (most probably) dumb questions! in two days they had almost finished but ensured the rest of the work would be done promptly, which it did. Roland himself even came round to keep me up-to-date with procedings.Once it was all done they took me through all the important stuff and signing me into my own solar analytics account, so now I feel like I have a real insight into the systems day-to-day operations.The correspondence on the phone at RLE felt like a breeze as well - very proffessional, friendly and informative - I couldn't be happier and wouldn't hesitate in endorsing RLE to anyone who wants a good experience with a solar installation.

We were recommended Roland and his team from a friend of mine who works in the industry . I had gotten 4 prior quotes but was not impressed with their proposals. After seeing Roland’s reviews we contacted Roland and we found Roland to be fantastic. He was also the only one who actually accessed the roof to do a proper measurement and worked out exact number of panels required.He and his team were professional, punctual, and efficient.He recommended our solar system to us and did not try to “sell” us the most expensive/complex system and provided us with a highly efficient system that has proven to perform beyond my expectations after three months of installation. In fact on sunny days; the system has well untruly outperformed the projected models that was provided in the proposal.We also had a difficult neighbour issue and Roland and his team were very professional with mitigating the issue and remained cool throughout.They also left our roof in excellent condition, and their work in the garage was very tidy and no rubbish was left behind.Thank you Roland and your team! I would not hesitate to recommend them again.

We were put in contact with Roland Lawrence Electrical through the Inner West Community Energy group to have a home solar system installed, including a battery. We had a great experience, from quote to installation and also follow-up support. Roland made sure to visit our house in order to provide some accurate quotes. Once we decided on a relatively large system, Roland's team worked hard to have it installed promptly. The follow-up support has also been great. Highly recommended!

Roland and his team provide fantastic service and support. From the early days of the quote through to completion of installation. They have provided me with ongoing support to the many questions I’ve had in understanding solar. Roland’s team are also the tidiest Tradies I’ve ever seen or worked with. Leaving no trace. We had been wanting to install a solar system for some time, but due to the chequered reputation of the industry really didn’t know where to start.Roland Lawrence and RLELEC were recommended to us by an engineer we know who specialises in solar and who works in the solar industry, so that gave us the confidence to start the process.Roland visited our home to view its layout, aspect and roof areas so as to be able to recommend the optimum system from a cost/benefit perspective. He also discussed our wishes in terms of performance and visual impact, after which he appreciated we valued performance and neatness over budget. He also analysed our recent electricity bills to understand our usage, and the size of the installation we would need.Following his site visit Roland supplied a detailed, but clear, proposal outlining his recommendations, its cost and the projected future financial impact in terms of the upfront cost of the installation vs. the ongoing savings. We had our solar engineer contact review this, who believed it was in order and quite a high-end installation.When it came time to install the system Roland and his team arrived punctually at 7am both days. They were friendly, courteous, helpful and professional, and went about the process without fuss. Most of the installation was done on day one, with some tidying up the next day. After that Roland and his team gave us a good rundown on how the system works, when it makes the most power and how to derive the most benefit from it by changing the times we use equipment such as the pool pump, air conditioner & clothes dryer.We are delighted with how the installation looks and with the capacity it generates. We are equally delighted with the service provided by Roland and his team at RLELEC, from start to finish, and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Roland impressed from the outset. Very personable and easy going, yet obviously knows his stuff! He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and followed up with phone calls and emails to answer any queries. Not the cheapest quote we received but just had the right feeling about the service Roland would deliver over other companies.Installation process was professional and although interrupted by unforecast heavy showers, the team returned the following day to finish the job. Was also impressed to see a female apprentice as part of the team :)Very happy with the performance of our system, which we see via the Solar Analytics app included. My inverter and one of my batteries were faulty. Mick helped get both the inverter and battery get replaced at my place by the manufacturers of the products.Mick did a lot of communication with the companies and his persistence secured the replacement of the inverter and battery for me.His work at my home and his overall service is greatly appreciated. He is a credit to the company he works for and an asset to their business.

Sales/Quote process:- Roland was helpful and informative - I sort of knew what I wanted for solar, but I also needed a bit of guidance, and Roland gave good reasons for the decisions he made in terms of panel placement and capacity. We have a large flat part of our roof that is slightly southern facing, and I wanted to know whether it was an option for putting panels on. He provided a solution that no other company had thought of, which may have given 13% less capacity, but made the most of a part of my roof at the back of the house that would also reduce the heat in summer due to panels.- I made one request to downgrade the panel quality (from Winaico to Trina), but other than that, I was pretty happy with the quote. I'm happy to pay a little more for a quality install that was done with care, and I feel like that was provided.- Roland was the only installer that came out to the house to check the house for anything that could cause issues with the installation, which I appreciated.Installation:Installation was polite, tidy, and on time. The guys arrived at 7am, and were all done by about 2:30/3pm. They cleaned up, which is more that I can say about a lot of tradies that come through our house. This is important to us, because I don't want my 9 month old kid crawling around and putting screws, plugs or random building materials in his mouth if I can avoid it!Customer service:The grid connection was in my court as my provider needs me to call them to organise a smart meter, but otherwise we're setup to turn the inverter switch on as soon as that is set up. Our Solar Analytics was set up on the day, and I was provided login details as well.Overall, customer service has been great so far - Roland is responsive to messages/emails etc, and overall pretty helpful with advice.
