I just love this place. The food was really great and the setting as well. I had lamb rump steaks which was cooked to perfection. My partner had king fish which was on the specials list for the week. Well done Whakebone we'll be back when visiting this area again.

I had an amazing lunch time.Beautiful views, the restaurant is literally over the river, its well conditioned and impeccable.Five stars for Eva and Hannah for the attention and friendly treatment, super professionals.I had the market fish of the day, gourmet and delicious, five stars for the chef too. They offer a good variety of cocktails.

Food was delicious, especially the 300g Scotch Fillet. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice, with spectacular ocean views. Food is a bit pricey though. Would highly recommend.

Lovely location. Generous portions. Perfect menu. Well cooked. Paper serviettes in a five star restaurant? Thanks for looking after us. We let you know twice it was a birthday lunch. But not even acknowledged. Very young and inexperienced staff (I guess it’s hard to find staff now. Some training wouldn’t hurt)Nice touch with the owner being there. All in all 4 stars. Room for improvement.

50th wedding anniversary celebration. Overpriced food with tiny portions and no presentation. The price was $40.00 each. See pics attached. I am very disappointed with the overall experience, but I will never return. The wait staff dressed like they are working on a fast food fish and chips shop. White shirts with black shorts are not suitable for fine dining.

Tough decision, but I believe the WBW is my favorite restaurant. Upscale, on the water; light-filled dining area. Excellent service and attentive to our party’s food allergies.

It's a beautiful spot and a lovely scenic view by the water from the dining room. The Kingfish crudo was super fresh if only a little overshadowed by the dressing.Kipfler potatoes with Pecorino, mint speck were delicious. The seafood chowder was generous, delicious, and full of flavour. Most definitely recommend it.

My lovely husband took me to The whalebone restaurant in Port Macquarie for a celebration of my upcoming new job starting next week. What an amazing dining experience. They have rebuilt after the floods. We had the seafood platter which arrived over 2 courses. I started with a mango belini cocktail whilst Greg tried a local Kempsey beer with mandarin. A beautiful light cassegrain rose with a extraordinary luncheon, followed by dessert. I had a orange lindseed creme brulee, and greg had home made strawberry and cointreau ice cream, ending with expresso martinis on tge pontoon. Amazing staff, amazing food, spectacular afternoon

It was our first time visiting Whalebone wharf. The customer service was exceptional. We couldn’t have dairy and we always fear that it will be too hard to ask for meals without it. The waitress knew the menu inside out, she knew exactly what could be made without dairy and ensured we had a good experience. We felt so well looked after and had a minimal wait for the food to arrive despite how busy they were. It was run so smoothly and everyone just seemed so happy to be there! The venue is absolutely stunning and the food was exceptional. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. It was just perfect!

We had Pink Ling and King fish for lunch at this place. Nice view of the Hastings river and welcoming staff to help you enjoy the day. The restaurant's decor isn't bad either.
