We are very grateful to Clayton for the successful removal of Sally’s ingrown toenails after three unsuccessful procedures by others. She can now look forward to a pain free future.Clayton is able to put a patient at ease as he explains the surgery in a friendly, professional and detailed manner as was evident in his impressive post surgery report. We would highly recommend Clayton to anyone suffering painful feet or ankles. You won’t be disappointed .

I had been struggling with a severe ingrown toenail on my right foot for three long years, causing me constant pain and discomfort. After trying various remedies and seeing multiple doctors with no success, I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Clayton. From the very first appointment, Dr. Clayton showed genuine concern for my well-being and thoroughly explained the surgical procedure he would perform to resolve the issue. His professionalism, knowledge, and comforting demeanor immediately put me at ease. The surgery itself was a complete success, and my recovery has been smooth and swift. Thanks to Dr. Clayton, I can finally walk pain-free and enjoy my daily activities without constantly worrying about my toe.I cannot recommend Dr. Clayton highly enough for anyone suffering from ingrown toenail issues. His expertise and patient-centric approach have truly made a significant difference in my life. If you're in need of a podiatrist, look no further than Dr. Clayton - you will not be disappointed!

I had right dorsal-lateral mid-foot arthroplasty procedure done by Clayton and his assistant Dane. Each step was explained before the surgery and the care post surgery was excellent with follow up visits to ACT Podiatry and phone calls to see how I was going. I would highly recommend ACT Podiatry. I am very happy with the results as I can now for a nice long walk without any pain. Thankyou Clayton and Dane. Helen Wallis

I suffered terribly with plantar fasciitis and walking was pure torture. Clayton quickly diagnosed my problem and fitted me with a boot designed to keep weight off my heel so it could heal. Thirty days later my heel was cured and my walking was back to normal. I've had no trouble since. Thank you Clayton.

I have used this service for over 14 years and have found the service and knowledge base of the practioner's excellent. Services I have used have been for my walking gait which includes purchasing orthoticsand surgery for my bunions - hallux valgus. Health practitioner Clayton Clews is both an podiatrist and a podiatrist surgeon. I suggest If you have foot issues that need attending to including surgery then this clinic and Clayton are the best to consult with you on your way forward to keeping you on your feet for many more years.

Hi my name is Alex Humphreys and I broke three Metatarsals in my left foot and each one was broken into three pieces. I ended up at the Canberra Hospital where a doctor managed to butch my bone that in eight years I couldn’t walk on them anymore.I was recommended to Doctor Clayton Clews at the ACT podiatry in Tuggeranong and Western. The so call surgeon that worked on them didn’t straighten them, used bent k-pins that when they came out I screamed my lungs out a then passed out.It got to a point that I wished the two outer toe with Metatarsals to be removed. I went and saw Dr Clews and the first word I said to him was ‘I wish you to take my toe outer toes off on the left foot’. Dr Clews said ‘We might take a look first.’We’ll I had the surgery and some eight weeks later I’m walking as if I had never broken it. I think the hardest thing is the pain, there is none and it hard to get used too. Dr Clews is that concerned about his parents that he rang me a few times, just to see how the foot is going. Dr Clew isn’t just a doctor he is generally concerned about the your way of life and how he can make it better. For a person that changed my life for the better I highly recommend going to him with any foot problem. Thanks for reading Alex.

Clayton Clews is a highly skilled and patient practitioner. When I first visited him I was in a lot of pain and could barely walk. I tried to ignore it and hope it went away but it was only getting worse and I needed help.Clayton did not dismiss my ankle pain and took the time to work out what was really going on. He worked diligently to support and strengthen my ankle. We tried many different non-surgical options that each relieved some of my pain in varying degrees. Rest, painkillers, immobilisation boot, bracing, strapping, strengthening exercises, orthotic shoe inserts... so many ideas! Clayton wanted to exhaust all my non-surgical options before cutting me open.In the end we were left with surgery as my only option for long-term relief. Clayton carefully considered my needs before determining which procedure had the highest chance of long-term success with minimal intervention and minimal recovery time. Clayton released the tightness and tension through the base of my foot then placed a titanium implant in my ankle to stabilise it.I am currently 8 months post surgery and back to my pre-injury activities. I am no longer in pain. I am independent again thanks to Clayton and his diligent problem solving. If you have stubborn foot pain that just won't improve no matter how long you rest with your feet up, go and see Clayton. He will get you back on your feet.

My wonderful physiotherapist Alicia at Southside Physio referred me to ACT Podiatry at Greenway. Jane Earl was excellent. She listened, observed, offered options and we agreed an effective course of action to address my issues. One option was a nil cost way of tying shoe laces differently, which has been very effective. Another option was an orthodox, which I pursued for a different problem I have had since childhood. This has also been very effective. The follow up is excellent. Deb on reception is efficient and friendly. I look forward to their Happy Fit Footwear shop opening in January.

I self-referred to Dr Clayton Clews. Why? a) My GP had advised against surgery and b) multiple trips to a podiatrist had not improved the picture. My mobility is important to me and I was becoming ever more despondent as my ability to walk was increasingly circumscribed. I was down to less that 5,000 steps per day when the pain became too great to walk, and then one day to recover. After some X-rays, a trial injection of cortisone and finally an MRI, Dr Clews diagnosed a large neuroma & ganglia. Basically, I was walking on an enlarged nerve. I also took the opportunity to get a toe straightened which had clubbed badly after I had snapped a ligament some years before. I was very impressed that he was not pushing me to surgery, if anything, a bit reluctant. But he wanted to be quite certain what he was dealing with before committing to the procedure. Now, some three months after surgery I can walk pain free with step counts now easily exceeding 12,000 per day -- and no rest days required. (apart from general fatigue -- I am 75 y.o.) My aim was to walk freely again, and that is certainly 'mission accomplished'. I found Dr Clews approachable, personable, and communicative, while being totally committed to patient comfort and mobility.

I have been with Clayton for 15 years and highly recommend the practice. All the staff are friendly and highly competent. Clayton’s aim is to help people maintain their lifestyle, which for me means 4-5 day hikes. After successfully treating my flat foot syndrome over many years with a variety of devices, last year surgery became the inevitable next step. Clayton clearly explained the procedure and answered all my questions. After surgery followup was excellent: ongoing, thorough and caring. Recovery proceeded as he outlined and I was able to walk The Great Ocean Road 5 months later.
