Acorn sent around a polite young installer, he worked hard under very hot conditions. 5 stars for installation. The company also deserve 5 stars for after sales service during warranty period they are polite and prompt in responding to issues. We wish we could give the product itself 5 stars too but that would be misleading. The overall 3 stars is due to the ongoing issues we've had with the stairlift itself. The stairlift was installed approximately a year ago. Our stairlift has gone into fault mode at least half a dozen times in the first year of use. The most common fault code it displays is F7 which means it keeps getting an overspeed fault. It always stops just after it's started travelling down. According to the guidebook the solution is to manually wind the chair back up it back up to the top but that doesn't always fix it. Sometimes turning it off and turning it back on fixes it for one trip but then it faults again. The constant fault codes are stressful and confusing. I really wish I could recommend the product, but because of the random fault codes I can't. It was a bad investment for us - it's had hardly any use, it's out of warranty now and to get the serviceman to come out to clear the fault codes now it's out of warranty will be too costly.
