I had my new Home built and designed with Ellis over the past year, the whole experience was wonderful to me as a first home buyer/builder. They took time to help explain anything I didn't understand and were very quick to answer any questions or worries I had during my planning/development and building of the property. Staff are all great people and have had great experiences talking with them throughout the process even amidst the covid situation. Cheers, highly recommend their service and would gladly build with them again in the future given the chance!

Neither picking up phone or replying to emails

Ellis developments built an NDIS house for me which took over 13 months (partly due to covid implications) and was 49 days late. Apart from the build being quite late, they kept me up to date and were mostly accommodating. About 4 months prior to completion of the build, I sent one of the staff an email regarding a certification issue that had arisen in another house they were building. This issue never got addressed despite me chasing up multiple times. After the build was completed I needed to get special certification due to the build being SDA. The inspector came through the house and listed quite a few things that needed to be updated. Ellis had assured me the house would pass certification. While it was annoying that the house didn't pass despite being assured it would, the team did do a very good job of addressing the issues in a very timely manner. There was one instance where I had to ask for a certain piece of paperwork 4 times before I actually received it. Overall, the build process was quite smooth and their ability to get the job done when they need to is great but communication at certain points of the process was definitely lacking and they shouldn't be assuring clients of things when we both knew they were wrong.

My husband and I bought our first home in Haven Estate recently. As it was our first time buying a house, it was a daunting process. The Ellis girls, Tammy and Meredith, as well as Steve were all extremely helpful and supportive throughout the whole process and as a result everything went through without any hiccups. As our home was already pre-built, we hope to take in the full Ellis experience of building our own home in the future. Would highly recommend.

The whole team I dealt with at Ellis have been great to deal with. Rosalyn and Tammy work as a great team when I could not decide on land. They have a vast knowledge of land options all around Townsville and helped me to find the perfect lot for my budget and location plus a great 3 bedroom home with my limited budget. The build process with Darren, Sarah, and Meredith was super easy and the quality of my first house is better than I was expecting. My sister bought a house last year that is a few years old and I ended up with a bigger, nicer, newer house in a better suburb for less money (something I love to bring up to her when she's over). Now that I have been living here, if I have any issues, they reply right away and action any dramas or warrantee issues (I had a ceiling fan that stopped working and they were there the same day to replace it under warrantee). Definitely build with Ellis, you won't regret it.

I highly recommend building with Ellis Developments. From the beginning they were open and upfront about all aspects of the building process. My construction manager Darren was always a phone call away with any concerns or questions that I had. The client liaison officer Annette kept me up to date with the progress of the build and was a wealth of knowledge. I have now been living in my house for 2 months and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely urge anyone to get in contact if you are looking at building your dream home.

Our experience with Ellis Developments has been amazing. The customer service from the second we walked into the Display Home has been outstanding. None of our questions were stupid and they always had the answers and research available to us. Once we settled on the custom design they did for us (included in their service) and finance was approved, they were there for us every step of the way. We got updates consistently with photos and status during the build. We could access our house whenever we wanted as they were always on site. And our house was built perfectly in 3 months. In closing we highly recommend Ellis Developments and have already connected friends of ours to them as we trust them.
