Mount Elephant Visitor Centre
This is pretty new centre. I am the 3rd Taiwan person has been here. Slowly going up to the mountain and walking 1 hour rim track and down to the crater. Here is beautiful.

Haven't walked it yet due to recent fires and neighbor understanding standing the rules of stubble burning and equipment used to control itOther then that excellent place for educational experience of the history of quarries of the mountain and bushfires of the area

Fascinating mountain surrounded by volcanic plains. Staff at the information centre were very helpful and enthusiastic about their job.Absolutely worth the climb into the crater and then around the scenic rim at the top.A perfect way to break up the drive from Melbourne to Warrnambool.Please take note the centre is only open on selected days. Entry is still permitted if you call the number on the website prior to your visit.You won’t regret it!

Very friendly staff so welcoming. Give yourself about 2 hours if you're gonna walk up the track. A little bit stimp but doable.. even for older folks.

Very nice walk to the top with excellent views of the surrounding area. Friendly volunteers at the visitor centre.
