Taper's Hairdressers Hurstville

Felt like a brand new woman thanks to Taper's Hairdressers. Covid greys are gone and fresh cut that was so needed. There is nothing like getting pampered!!

Asked for a simple trim with some layers and to have my hair cut to be just BELOW my shoulders. Came out with hair ABOVE my shoulders and both sides cut very unevenly, even after the lady tried to fix it TWICE. I didnt think it would be that difficult to trim someones hair, especially being the manager of the salon. Poor work, wouldn't recommended this salon

Best salon I've ever visited. Perfect styling and best hairdresser's met.Booked an appointment for haircut (thought would burn my wallet but no! ) I couldn't believe my ears - getting an haircut within your pocket.Met Maria, lovely lady with humor and experience. Amazing friendly service who listen to what you want but also looking out for what’s best for your hair. Have been going to Angela and the girls for years now. She has even fixed my hair from a terrible job I got done recently elsewhere.

From the initial call, to the helpful reminder texts, to the hairdresser's advice and service and, importantly, to the final hairdo - everything was EXCELLENT! My sister and I bought Groupon vouchers for a style and treatment, so I could try Taper's out for the first time - and I will definitely be returning! Our gorgeous hairdresser Kayla was just lovely and an expert at her job - we walked out feeling as radiant as Meghan Markle on her wedding day! Thank you - we'll be back!

Provided fantastic service and took the time to style my hair which takes time due to my curls. Extremely welcoming staff and energy in the salon.

Went to Taper hairdressing for a keratin treatment this AM (March 2017). My hair smells lovely and the chemicals didn't seem too harsh. I just had to close my eyes a bit at one stage. I have quite sensitive eyes. I paid $109 through a Groupon. The price is normally $200 for any length of hair and the price includes sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner. My hair is longer than shoulder but higher than back bra strap. A haircut costs $35. Seems very reasonable. I was offered a cup of tea or coffee. The location is really convenient as it is right next to the bus station which in turn is right next to Hurstville train station. Angela the owner gave me some free hair mask samples. The two ladies who were working today were friendly and not pushy with sales. I would return.

I went in to get my hair done over the weekend, i was greeted instantly by the lovely receptionist at the front with a warm smile and a hello, i know it was a walk in and i wasn't expecting to get straight in so when she said yep were ready for you, in was delighted.I told the hairdresser that i wanted a cut and colour as my hair so needed a boost..we went through the colour chart and i decided i just wanted it lightened slightly more of a warm tone and we picked the perfect shade, she said would compliment my skin tone.she began putting the colour and we chatted over general stuff, and she made me a coffee. she checked on the colour from time to time and once ready she washed my hair, massaging my head was so lovely, she then sat me back down on the chair and gave me a trim, she finished off with a blow dry and she straightened my hair. Overall wonderful experience will come back in the future.

I have known Angela, the Manager, for many years' now. There's just no hands like her in Hursy ;)Nobody does an upstyle, like Ms 'Ang!'

After googling a local hairdresser with good reviews I decided to try Tapers Hurstville. Im really disappointed ☹️ I went in for a full head of foils (regrowth) the lady was nice but didn’t even foil to my (near) scalp, so I look like I already have a couple of months regrowth, right at the front too so very obvious. And didn’t foil the ends. So I’m very light up top and same dull down the bottom. I didn’t notice until I got home. Now will have to go else where to get it fixed.
