My French Pastries
Very nice little shop. Great presentation and good coffee. Friendly service. We ordered 4 x croissant, raspberry tart and the flan. The flan and the tarts were delicious. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the croissants were slightly doughy/dense on the inside and were not layered and crunchy, also a bit too sweet for a savoury meal. Will be back.

One of those places you feel lucky to have nearby. Amazing and authentic food/coffee with service to match. Merci beaucoup!

This great little, French inspired, cafe is hidden from the droves of vehicles that zoom past the shopping plaza it’s in. If you’re headed near the corner of Markeri and Robina Parkway, to Robina Town Centre perhaps, you’ve definitely passed it.If you get the opportunity, stop in and have a bite to eat and enjoy the velvety coffee. There are only about 6 tables, so you might want to get there early during peak times. There’s another cafe in the same row of shops, and although good, the coffee and pastries here are better.

Here is my subjective review of My French Pastries I visited for the purpose of comparing French Bakeries in Southeast QLD in March 23.As a French expat, I know first-hand what a genuine French bakery tastes like, so I feel I have a good grasp of realistic expectations.1)I found the staff somewhat cold. Limited to no smiles and basic politeness despite buying around 10 items.2)The cost was somewhat average for a French bakery. Not cheap but not outrageous so that's a plus.3)The pastry does not remotely taste like anything French. It resembles more like a sweet brioche than a croissant, pain au chocolate etc. Did it taste terrible? No. But it was nowhere near decent for a French bakery. In actual fact, the frozen pastries you can order online from the local French distributors (I won't name them here but it's not hard to find) as the frozen ones from Coles (French brand - in bags of 6) were better by far. When it came to the Almost croissant, it was similar as the rest plus a layer of very heavy almond paste.4) The apple pie... Did it taste good? Hmm I guess. But I've yet to taste une Tarte au Pommes in France with custard inside, so another disappointment for us.5) Chocolate eclair looked great. I've never loved them in Paris so It would be unfair for me to comment further here.6) Bread. I liked it. It tasted good... But no where near the same as a croustillante baguette on a Sunday morning.7) The Flan... YES! YES! The winner of the day, with some genuine French taste, though the French distributors will sell them in packet mixes and they're pretty good too.Overall, my rating is based on high expectations and Melbourne reviews and comparisons. Again, it is subjective so take with a grain of salt and in the end, I still would recommend you visit them yourself for a nice breakfast or morning tea on the Gold Coast to make up your own mind.

The best cakes on the coast. Thanks for my birthday choc cake they are huge. 4 person feeds 6 to 8! Great value I try to get one every year.Almond crossiants are the best ever. The almond filling is devine and we love the custard slices. Better than the aussie fake ones. Been visiting since you were a home business so glad your shop has turned into such a beautiful success for you. So friendly staff too thank you

Very good coffee, pastries are superb and service is very friendly and very French - add this to a lovely dining setting and it’s a “must return” cafe.
