My children have been taking lessons (one piano, one violin) at SMA many years now, and Sherry has been very encouraging, patient and professional with teaching good technique and fixing their bad habits from previous teachers. She is a fantastic music teacher and focuses on ensuring her students develop a great musical technique, great attitude, great manner, and positive mindset. I feel very luck to find Sherry, she is a great teacher who clearly has a passion for music and very knowledgeable in the field and very patient with students (amazing when my little boy's attention span has always been so short) Thank you Sherry !

My son has been learning piano with Sherry for one semester. She is a very cheerful and patient teacher. As parents, we all feel that so lucky to meet her as my son’s piano teacher. It was sherry who opened up my son’s understanding of piano and music. Sherry was very helpful in improving how I practised and performed my violin, especially in techniques I use to struggle with such as vibrato and shifting positions.

Throughout my music learning journey, I have had several music teachers, however none of them have helped me as much as Ms Sherry. I'm not exactly someone who always 'remembers' to practice but she is so passionate and understanding and knows exactly how to help me. My whole family would all agree that I have done so much better under her teaching and I'm super incredibly grateful for having Ms Sherry as my music teacher.

We're so blessed to have found Dr. Sherry (she's actually very humble that she doesn't brag about her credentials but I always believe respect is due where it deserves and she's definitely worked hard all these years to earn the title of Dr. Sherry). There are lots of music teachers out there but I haven't found anyone to date who is as passionate and professional as Dr. Sherry. I'm sure if Dr. Sherry were to claim no.2 spot in the subject of music education in Sydney, no one would dare to claim the top spot! That's how confident I'm in Dr. Sherry's ability to teach music to all walks of life. As a tiger daddy, I have very high expectation of my son's music journey. My son just turned 7 recently and he only attended Sherry Music Academy less than 2 years ago with no prior knowledge of music or piano at all. In such a short period of time, he can now sight-read any piece of music given to him, he has performed in music concerts and I can proudly say his music ability is much more advanced than anyone in his age group. This is not because my son is especially talented in music, but credit to Dr. Sherry's unique methodology of teaching music and getting my son to love to play beautiful music. As an added bonus, Sherry Music Academy is not just about music, Dr. Sherry is also big on mindset and teaching kids to be disciplined, confident, resilient, responsible, and hardworking. All these are important skills to learn from a young age to ensure kids not only survive as they grow older in the future, but thrive and have a brighter, happier and successful life. Brava to Dr. Sherry for your dedication in transforming people's life through music, you are a true Maestra!

Sherry has been my teacher for a while and I feel the need to say that she has been such an inspirational and motivating teacher that would be hard to find. She has been not only a teacher but also a friend which helps greatly when learning music, needless to say my skills have improved abundantly. Anyone would be lucky to learn from Sherry Music Academy as it is truly an amazing experience.

I like my music teacher, Ms Sherry. She is the best piano teacher any student could ask for ! She taught me a lot on my playing skills fluency, musicality, and expressions on the different stylistic understanding. I'm grateful to have her such a professional musician as my mentor.
