Accurate Instrument Camera Repairs

Peter was very understanding and straight to the point. After being broken at my job, I was able to get my lens back within a few weeks, basically like new. Was a bit of a drive but I can’t recommend them enough and will definitely go here again for any other camera related repairs.

I wouldn't take my gear to anyone but here. Peter is honest and highly skilled. With decades of experience, there isn't much he doesn't know. If you go in to visit, add some extra time to have a chat. You won't regret it. I recently sent my niece to Peter for some parts and she learnt so much. I highly recommend this business.

(Call/message ahead to confirm opening hours.Just took my first big lens-clean (fungus) job to them, and was super-impressed with their level of care, attention to detail, etc.Very reasonable prices for lens repairs, plus a good range of carefully selected pre-owned cameras for sale -- which of course have been tested and serviced.Support local, support small business, support FAmily business.(Parking tip: just pull straight into the driveway if you can't find an easy street-spot. They are happy for you to do so.)

Peter's a legend. I had smashed the lens clean off my Panasonic G85 and broken the contacts on the mic jack, and he was able to fix the whole thing up for a very reasonable price (considering he'd never even worked on a Panasonic before and didn't own a lens to even test his repairs). He pulled the whole thing apart, soldered the jack back together and cleaned the sensor, all in all saving me at least $200 off the price of a new camera. He told me he didn't even own an external microphone, and so he simply cut up his own headset and botched a microphone together out of it just so he could use it to test the fix!He was also kind enough to send me his images of the repair, which I've attached for your viewing pleasure. A complex job indeed, considering he had never worked on one of these before, and yet he had it done in just a day or two. Considering I'm travelling (cycle touring across the country), this rapid turn-around was much appreciated. As a thank you for his excellent service, I donated the broken lens so that he could fix it up to use on any future MFT cameras that might come his way.Peter also made a clear effort to ensure that I, the customer, was satisfied, and was generally very reasonable to deal with. If something is cheaper to replace than to fix, he will simply tell you so.Highly recommended!

When the shutter on my Canon 80D broke, Accurate Instrument Services was recommended to me by both family members and members of the Aspley Camera Club. I got the camera back this week and I couldn't be happier. Peter determined the part could not be repaired, so ordered a replacement from Canon. The camera was promptly fixed and serviced, and today is as good as new.

Peter and Armanda were very friendly and helpful. Peter’s workmanship in cleaning the camera sensor was excellent. Very happy and can highly recommend them enough.
