5-star for customer service and the modern unique building. Plenty of car park. The current exhibition was not something we quite expected, but we didn’t know anything about this iconic Australian artist (cc.1965-70’s) before we arrive. Cafe/ restaurant on-site. Accommodation available. Only opened in the last fortnight. COVID safe. Hope the photos helped.

We didn't get to see the homestead or gallery as they were closed - we were just there to use a gift voucher at the cafe. The food was good. The staff were great. It promises a wide range of locally sourced produce - it is actually a limited range. At risk of being a philistine - this place seems to be cashing in on the reputation of a great artist - Arthur Boyd. This site is an excellent example of how to completely ruin a beautiful location. Lets bung some pretentious lumps of ugly concrete and steel and pretend it is somehow art". Apparently it won an architectural award and that in itself should be a warning. The actual grounds are beautiful with a fabulous outlook over the Shoalhaven River. But don't expect to be able to enjoy the view from the Cafe. You get to look at the concrete. A bit of a disappointment really."

Fabulous grounds. Pity about the art.Considering that the $45m collection of Boyd art is on site, it would have been nice to see some of it, especially for the 1st anniversary of the museum's opening. I appreciate the role Bundanon has in inspiring other artists, but using none of the limited exhibition space for Boyd art is an oversight, in my view. We would happily have paid an entry fee to the superb grounds (where we had a scrumptious picnic) rather than having a free picnic and paying for a limited exhibition of non-Boyd art, here on Arthur's Boyd's own property. It's a long and tortuous drive just for a picnic!

A nice art museum with a good collection of Boyd's works and contemporary pieces. As with all art galleries, I loved some work and got plenty of ideas.Back roads to the museum and homestead are graded and dirt mix through the beautiful surrounding bushland

This is not an art museum and don't expect to see any of Arthur Boyd's works on display at the moment. There are none! It has a few interesting art installations currently, but that's it. The cafe was good and the grounds pleasant. There are some workshops on some days, if you want to participate. It's a fair drive to the other site to see Arthur Boyd's studio ...which is very evocative ....and which has a small number of his works on display, mostly replicas. The 1866 sandstone homestead is currently closed for renovations. There are some nice walks from the homestead. All in all, I would wait until the homestead reopens, which will then house a number of his works in a permanent exhibition. Currently, it's a bit of a let down.

Stopped in after visiting Arthur Boyd's art studio (entry fee includes both sites, short drive apart) Absolutely gorgeous surroundings. I enjoyed the installation art at the time of my visit. Small modern art gallery. Staff were friendly and helpful. Although there's a cafe, next time I plan to bring a picnic lunch and sit at one of the outdoor tables to enjoy the stunning scenery by the river and mountains. Accommodation available. It was opened for a walk through as there were no guests on the day I visited. Modern structure, basic room very neat and tidy.

Beautiful property on the banks of the Shoalhaven River. Gifted to the people of Australia by artist Arthur Boyd and his wife Yvonne. A new architectural addition, the Bridge, comprises an art gallery.

Food in the cafe is brilliant, the best sandwiches you will ever come across, worth the long drive just to have one.The museum itself is extremely disappointing and definitely not worth the $18 entry fee. Unfortunately it's quite misleading thinking that your going to see Arthur Boyds artworks. The only picture of his is when you first enter, after that you are in a giganticly huge empty room with a couple of little sketches done by his father grouped together. The wall space could definitely be more utilized. Considering that over 2000 pieces of Arthur Boyds artwork has been donated to the state surely they could have gotten a few back to display. The grounds are lovely, and the homestead a short drive away are lovely to see, but the museum definitely needs someone else to oversee what artworks are displayed.Save yourself the $18 and spend it on enjoying the ambiance with a coffee or 2.

The museum was a total rip off - $18 for 5 minutes worth of pretentious garbage. I wanted to ask for my money back. The grounds themselves and the bridge are impressive though, and the cafe had nice food and coffee. Avoid the museum and drive down the road to the old homestead and studio instead.
