Valentine Park
There is not a park with a playground in the history of parks with playgrounds to match this particular park and it's associated playground. As a child, this was the necessary stop on long drives up to Launceston, and was greatly anticipated and appreciated by both parents and children alike. No playground has made such an impression upon me as this one has. Some idiot wrapped the swings around the top pole once though, which wasn't cool.

Nice place to stop on a long journey and take a short walk in the park. Read about the interesting characters who settled here, including Eliza Forlonge who brought her famous breed of sheep all the way from Germany. Look for names of convicts on the long row of bricks set into the pavement, you may find an ancestor!

Kids loved the atop to stretch their legs on the way to and from Hobart. Clean toilets which is great

A nice large area but would like to see more table and chair options as there are always a lot of people here as it's a popular rest area and we can never get a table to eat at! Toilets are hit and miss as they are always busy therefore usually dirty unfortunately. But a great park with lots of shade!

A lovely little park with tables under large shady trees, a safe play area for the young ones and good food and coffee across the road at Zeps. Public toilets on site used to be very good but our last trip they were filthy in both men and women's area's. Other than that, a brilliant area to rest and enjoy some sun.

I just can't put anything in Tasmania less than 4 stars, it's a regular park compared to the historic surroundings. The tree its pretty impressive

Nice little park. Good place to stop for a rest. Reasonable kids playground. Plenty of room to let the dogs stretch their legs. Good parking and close to shops.
