Bluey's Bistro & Smokehouse
It can be really hard eating out as a coeliac; last night I had the best (and biggest) burger I have had in years and I even was able to have chips. The staff were friendly and took time to answer my questions even though they were obviously really busy. My non coeliac friends also were very happy with their meals, we will definitely go back.

For $70 for a platter for 2 I would be expecting value. The portion sizes were laughable. The brisket tasted like it was cooked in an oven not a smoker. The rack of ribs hardly had meat. I have made better ribs myself with meat I have bought from the supermarket. The pulled pork was so dry it unless I drowned it in sauce I wasn't able to eat it. This also was the only way to get any flavour into the meat as well.A very poor experience to say the least.

Easily one of the best value for money American smokehouse feeds in the newcastle area. My mates and I aren't scared of a big feed and have always hunted out the best in Newcastle and can easily say the quality and menu at Blueys is a cut abive the rest. Can easily customise and add or change your request and I can safely say I've never walked out dissapointed.Can get super busy and at times waits do increase the later and busier it is but well worth it.10/10

What can I say expect WOW. Bluey's has just re opened after new renovations and not just to the restaurant but to the menu too. And I can tell you I was hesitant at first to try the pizza and thought 'eh it's just pizza'. But I was wrong, the pizza is out of this world, let's talk about the sauce, it wasn't heavy, thick or spicy it was light, sweet and oh so delicious not to mention mouth watering, I've never tasted pizza so deliciously spectacular in my life. Don't believe me, try it yourself. The food is delicious the staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming, great customer service.10/10 will be back to try the other new items on the menu.

I took a client for lunch today and was absolutely disgusted to watch the female chef pick up food that was under the heat light and rearrange it on the plate with no gloves on , then continued to go and prepare other meals after licking her fingers and just wiping them on a tea towel . Then putting her un gloved hand into a box of salad and placing it on the plate.My client was absolutely horrified at what she had witnessed,We I asked for a refund straight away and explained why . The cashier didn’t seem to care .I’m extremely disappointed as my partner and I eat there on a regular basis . But unfortunately won’t be going back.The health inspector would of had a field day .

Travelled 40min for a very average meal. The burger meat was bland in flavor and the meal was served lukewarm at best. A big disappointment unfortunately.

Located in a temporary position, there wasn't a lot of atmosphere. I had the low 'n' slow mini platter which was not a bad size for the price, but the brisket was on the dry side. It needed some sauce which was included on the side, but would rather the flavour be cooked through the meat. Regardless, I would like to go back when it moves to its new location in the club and will try one of the burgers. The staff were nice.

Great tasting food at a reasonable price. Partner and I got the platter for 1 to share. Was very impressed how much food there was for $36 or $38. Tasted nice. We went into thinking if we were still hungry we could order more or a dessert but didn’t need to as we still had enough leftovers to make a brisket roll for lunch the next day with the leftovers. Will definitely be back

Been here before, excellent food, I had strip loin steak, perfect, sweet potato fries as a side, yum.My latest visit, although very busy, chef accommodated us and cooked us a beautiful feed. Delicious.
