Horrible experience. We arrived at the establishment because the car stopped in the middle of the road. The engine was still running but the mechanic insisted that we had to change the engine without even realising that the upper hose was broken. We decided to fix the hose on our own and, indeed, after 4 months the engine is in perfect condition. He wanted to charge us $4,500 for a hose. On top of that, the diagnostic of literally 5MINUTES cost us $180 dollars. Shameful

We are just travelling through and needed a service. The team all worked very hard on the car and kept me informed the whole way. Very pleased with their attention to detail and work ethic. I didn’t feel I was cheated. If you need a mechanic on the way up/down from the cape, Or if you are a local, I can’t recommend these guys enough!

We were thrilled to get an appointment for some repairs so quickly.Ilja quoted us a fair price for the work and did it in the promised time frame. We appreciated his friendly and professional manner.His fast and reliable work is highly recommended.

Randy and the crew at Cairns Auto Works were very professional and friendly and able to see us on the spot when we needed help and got us going again right away. Highly recommended particularly because Randy spent 15 years as a Toyota service technician prior to this business and really knows Toyotas very well.

10/10 service. I had an issue with my car which stopped me from driving it. The owner booked me in straight away and offered to fix my car at my house which saved me from having to get my car tow to the workshop. Prices are unbeatable and the customer service is excellent. 100% recommend!!

I went there and had to wait half an hour. I say I have a problem with my air con. He checked my Aircon without me acknowledging he re-gased knowing that there is a leak and I found out this was illegal. He tried to charge for re-gassing but I didn't pay. My advice is go to a professional company that has a name, to not get scammed by these back door mechanics.

Its a shame to report the service of this mechanic.After agreeing to take on the work of fixing a gearbox oil leak along with a large list of other jobs Randy returned the vehicle completed" collected cash and left the leak persisting.After a week of driving the new shock absorber bushings popped out. Mounted improperly (no more than a nut securing the rubber bushing).Both sides needed re-doing.A drive belt had snapped on my next drive. The mechanic who fixed it told me it was not sitting in its track from whomever touched it last.That was after Randy had done my timing belt.Lack of care for his work.Avoid this mechanic."
