Very nice and big beach (patrolled)It was closed for swimming due to the currents, but the water was crystal clear

My wife and I flew from San Antonio Texas for business, we landed in Brisbane and flew the perimeter of Australia to include Tasmania. Two friends of ours that live there recommended we spend our last three days at Stradbroke Island, so glad they did. We were lucky and were able to book a suite at the Whalewatch Ocean Beach Resort, looking straight out at the beach. Sunrise's were outer worldly. Being a surfer it was great to wade out in the water and get some pictures of the locals. Definitely recommend a stay on this island.

Was very windy and rough seas today, waves were massive and beach was closed to swimming. So many places to take beautiful photos.
