I cannot believe the charge of $22.50 for the disposal of four dining chairs. With these extortionate charges I struggle to understand how the recycling industry is in such a mess. Maybe if our councillors concentrated on what they are supposed to do rather than promoting their political agendas we would have an efficient waste disposal system that was cost effective and encouraged ratepayers to use it. As for me I will not be using the recycling centre again.

It's great to have a facility such as this one. I've deposited a lot of stuff over the years, mostly free of charge. The staff from GDP are sometimes interesting, but the place is generally run very well

Came to drop a collection of recycle goods. It's a big operation. You enter at the southern end and are met by an employee who then directs you to the areas you need to go to. The people there were courteous and helpful and we were quickly finished. Well done to those who helped me.You can make things easier and faster for yourself if you presort your rubbish.

I had a big 250-300kg old gas furnace in my trailer.After confirming at the front gate I could have assistance with a forklift I get to the top to be told “policy” doesn’t allow it… so they stood there and watched me try to man handle it out of the trailer on my own.It’s also a bloody rip off.I don’t know why I expected any better from a bunch of council workers!
