Long wait for a bad coffee, doesn't know what a piccolo is and adds sugar when not asked for. Poor service poor coffee.

This cafe is at the back of the Arts Centre and you can see the colourful creative touches inside. They have an area for kiddies to play while mum has a cuppa. You are welcomed by the friendly staff and the coffee tastes pretty good too. I love the artwork at the front counter!

Hubby and I took a long drive up to Bribie Island this past weekend to check out the Matthew Flinders Art Prize at the Gallery. We dropped into this cafe (which is in a lovely courtyard out the back) for a quick lunch. We had a cappuccino (moi) and a hot chocolate (him). Both were fine; my coffee a bit weak for my tastes. Hubby had a huge open sandwich with a generous helping of mushrooms, eggplant and halloumi on Turkish, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Sadly my ham and cheese croissant was a wee bit underdone, which looked great, but the cheese was barely melted so it didn't have that luscious, gooey effect you're after with one of these. The croissant itself seemed a bit damp and undercooked too, so I left a portion of it all on my plate. It is certainly a pleasant place to stop, but the food needs a bit of tweaking. Service was prompt, and the ladies bringing out the food were efficient and brisk. Must try this place next time we're up! Oh yes, hubby mentioned that there needs to be more signage and publicity for the cafe, as it's not obvious where it is, or that it exists! Oh, and don't forget the cute free library inside the cafe.

Cafe 191 at the back of the Art Centre is a local gem and a must for a great cup of coffee and a huge range of delicious cakes, Devonshire Teas etc , all made on the premises by chef Corey.Today we had the Chilli Chocolate cake and Lumberjack cake.Cafe 191 is mainly serviced by volunteers, but it's all run very friendly and efficiently.Lunches are also served here, again with a good choice, but trying one of the muffins is a must. This is definitely one of our favourite places on Bribie and highly recommended.
