They have increased their prices over the years and I think this really takes away from the original intent of the place, to encourage recycling/newcycling.The staff at the front desk can be rude/weird and I end up not buying much or anything from here anymore due to this and the prices.Used to be better quite a while ago.

I feel this place is a real rip off. Much much cheaper to get things on Gumtree and marketplace! And green shed gets things for free from the community so I feel this is cheating. ... I asked about an old nasty bike and they said $100. You can get a new one from Kmart for like $120. I will never give my nice junk to green shed again.

An invaluable resource for the Canberra community. You can find some real treasures here. There are many affordable items of furniture, glassware, cooking utensils, and much more. Also honestly this place treats everyone who enters with dignity and respect, which is more than can be said about some other thrift stores.If you can, then shop here, and donate where possible. This place is just awesome <3

Best place to look for second hand goods. Depending on the season, you can even get a decent quality of things with cheap price. There are a section in front of the store where you can get or drop free clothes. It is really helpful for anyone that needs an extra clothes, i.e. on the winter.

Ones trash is someone else's treasure as they say.I was impressed by the large amount of books they have. Lots of parking with very easy access to the front door.

Heaven on recycled earth. Treasures found and joy unearthed over and over again here. Thanks Jim for helping me put the entertainment unit in the back of my car - turned out to be perfect. Best times to visit are early in the morning and in the late afternoon. Sad that some people take advantage of the freebies in the skips outside with ownership claimed on dangerous piles heaped along the footpath. But having said that, always worth a visit. Highly recommended :)

Greenshed Mitchell - The cashier was rude and wanted too much for a desk chair when we tried to ask for cheaper he was rude and told me to get a stool. Honestly living conditions are high at the moment and living in Canberra is so expensive and you would think the staff would be more understanding. So don't go because this store is better going to Canberra Buy Sell Swap or any other Greensheds not this one with a cashier with attitude and money hungry.

This is where I started my collecting journey, I collected many VHS's from this place, and dvds as well, and also there’s loads of other great stuff there as well, if you have some spare time, take a trip to the green shed, it’s lots of fun.

Great place to find used items, but you have to search carefully because sometimes the treasure is hiding behind the others. I got some beautiful furnitures here, as well as some cuttleries which still in good condition. The price is nice, and affordable.
