Wellington Point Recreation Reserve
Convenient location just off the bridge. The area has a nice swimming/paddling area and small sandy beach for kids to enjoy.Take a bucket and spade!There is a handy picnic area with bbq facilities with toilet and parking nearby.I saw a fisherman try his luck there. It seemed pointless as there is netting to prevent larger fish through from the river. Also a little dangerous if kiddies stand on a discarded fishhook in this area.(There should be a 'No Fishing' sign just for the swimming area).

Wellington Point Recreation Reserve
Great spot to watch the sunset especially when it's a low tide. During low tide you can also walk down to kings Island on the sandy road. Good place for picnic. Quite a few numbers of barbecue and benches are available. A small children's park for the kids to spend some time. Food options available on the beach and in nearby places. The place has ample parking spots, but can run out on weekends and public holidays. Overall one of the best places to visit in Brisbane.

Beautiful spot for a family hang. It's especially nice if you get low tide and can go for a walk across the sandbar. Fun park for kids of all ages.

Wellington Point Recreation Reserve
Nice place to hang out in a sunny afternoon. Make sure to check the tide times before visiting, the path leading to king island was an easy few kilometres walk during low tides, just make sure to apply sunscreen before crossing because there is literally no place to hide from sun. Also a good place to bring dog along and take a nice stroll. Finding a parking spot can be crazy especially during the weekend.

Wellington Point Recreation Reserve
It is always absolutely lovely to come down to the point for either a walk, a picnic or to spend some time with family. We are very lucky to live around the area and have such easy access. The only downside is that it can get very busy on weekends and parking becomes a real premium.

Wellington Point Recreation Reserve
Always a favourite place to visit.Each side of the reserve offers a different experience.As does the tides. High or low, this is a great place for kids.The walk to King Island is a must at low tide.Parking can be an issue. On most days you can do circuits to get a park.Also don’t park to the trailer parking area.Dogs are now allowed- on leash at all times.Great place for a barbecue or picnic

Wellington Point Recreation Reserve
Nice place to spend a day. We tried to walk up to the island but couldn’t gather enough courage as we were not dressed for it not we had any life jackets(just in case).But, it looked like we can just walk upto the island there.Not huge waves so it’s good place for kids to play safe.Some restaurants nearby and a jetty on the other side.

Good family park at the bay, walk, in low tide to a small island, go for a fish, or a swim with on guard lifesavers. Has bbqs and a shop for fast food and coffee.
