Nice interior, general pub vibe with delicious food. Recommended by our tour guide and wasn't as busy as the places closer to the butterfly and bird sanctuaries.

Fantastic location to visit after the Skyrail. Indoor and semi-outdoor options of dining. Vast selection of food and the specials were great also. We took advantage of the Karage Chicken and Salad special which was delicious and fresh tasting. If you like Ginger Beer you have to take the opportunity to taste the alcohol based Ulysses Ginger Beer. Kuranda Hotel's own brew which is green in colour - it was awesome. Friendly service and despite it being extremely busy and a verbal warning that there may be a delay in food to table - we did not wait long at all.

Popped in for some beverages after our Skyrail journey, great atmosphere and experience!We tried the blue ginger beer which was novel, although not my favorite. Staff were helpful and attentive too, prices all pretty reasonable.View out from the deck is really nice, it was a highlight for me!

Kuranda itself didn't excite us too much. So, with some time to kill before our train ride back down the hill, we thought we would have lunch and a couple of bevies before we had to leave. Much to our disappointment, I can only say it was very average pub food. Then to our surprise they called last drinks at 2:15pm and it closed at 2:30pm. Unheard in other parts of Australia. Very disappointed. The best part was the windows.

Stopped in for lunch after doing the Kuranda rail and markets. After looking at a few other options for lunch (often pricey) our family of four were so glad to be seated out on the cool verandas of this lovely hotel. 18 yo son had the blue alcoholic ginger beer we had seen in posters (see photo) really good. Service was spot on and food was faultless. While the presentation was not remarkable (again see photos) it was clear the cooks really knew their stuff- every meal was so fresh and tasty. Special mention to the public bar manager who was so helpful with recommending wines and beers - I was in heaven with the local Coral Sea Brewing ale.

Very disappointing food quality for what you pay. The parmigiana was dry with less then half the chicken covered with ham and sauce, the 'the salad of the day' was a small pile of coleslaw. The squid was not squid, it seemed like cuttlefish. Beer tasted watered down too. Overall not impressed.

A great spot for lunch and to escape the heat.As many do after traveling on the Kuranda Scenic Rail, we decided to grab some lunch at the iconic Kuranda Hotel.It was busy when we arrived, but we were afforded a large table to help with the kids which was a relief.We ordered drinks and food which was wonderful. The chicken was crispy and crunchy but still tender and juicy.The staff here were kind, engaging and appreciative of us having a baby and offered a spot near the aircon to assist him with the heat when he wouldn't settle.Our time here was refreshing and filling, certainly a great lunch with fantastic staff and service.
