I run Southport Indoor Pistol Club, which is an an indoor shooting range on the Gold Coast. Lead contamination is a big problem in our industry globally, and must be controlled effectively. One of our extractor ventilation fans failed, which caused lead dust to contaminate the entire building. This was a major risk to public safety, and too important to second guess the results.Base Hazmat came highly recommended to us from friends in the building trade, so we called Patrick and had him run us through what needed to be done. We were impressed by Patricks friendly, professional, and thorough approach. Patrick is a straight shooter, and doesn't mess around or short cut. This is exactly what we wanted to hear, so we decided on Base Hazmat.Patrick and his team didn't mess around. They got stuck into the work from the second they arrived and didn't stop until the place was so clean, you could literally eat off the floor. No detail was too small. Everything from the ceiling down to the cracks between the walls and floors. Nothing was overlooked! Everything was cleaned and lead free by the time they finished. Anything that couldn't be cleaned was discarded responsibly and safely in accord with regulations. They tested each area before and after cleaning, and they certified the work to the satisfaction of Qld WorkSafe. There is no way that we could have done a job that would come close to what these guys achieved, and in record time!A special mention must be given also to the fact we were on a tight schedule, and also frustrated by another business who objected to the work and how it might impact them. Patrick and I were on the phone constantly, working on a solution which would suit everyone and not compromise public safety or neighbouring businesses.
