Hydra Time Spa Massage

Went back the second time. Far different from the first visit. It was awful. The older lady masseuse couldn't speak English well. The massage was pretty rough and unpleasant. I was sore at the end. She kept using her elbow to massage my back. I was glad to get out at the end. They need to employ staff that are well experienced and can speak / understand English language.

After purchasing a Groupon voucher for a 2 hour package that included a 90 minute massage and 30 minute bath I can say it's the best money I have spent in a while. Premises are very handy to everything with street parking and walking distance to James Street Market. My therapist was Hede and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I had some pretty deep pain in my shoulder that was limiting movement and tonight I have so much more range of movement and far less pain. The premises are immaculate, warm and welcoming with no traffic noise once inside. The massage was fantastic and the hot herbal bath that followed was absolutely perfect. I recommend showering before arrival to get the most out of this type of treatment. I will most definitely be returning to try out the cupping and acupuncture. Currently hours are reduced due to COVID19 as are some services such as the acupuncture. There's a wheelchair lift at the front door for less able customers as well. I took my pictures in the room after my treatment so please excuse the mess, it's actually beautifully presented when you walk in.

I am disappointed and feel misled by reviews and photos online. I booked a deal for two people for 60min massages, 30min herbal detox foot soak and 30min foot reflexology at Fortitude Valley that was supposed to be a nice ‘spa’ day treat for my friends birthday. The staff were friendly and nice and parts of the massage were good hence 2 star not 1, but it was soooo noisy it could not be relaxing, the phone kept ringing and being answered on loud speaker (why?!), door bells ringing, loud talking, sirens, traffic… just no soundproofing at all. The space was old and tired looking not at all like the photos of the spaces online with the lovely decor and wooden baths and foot baths which I guess are all at their other location. Also I have had foot reflexology and that was not at all foot reflexology, it was a foot rub at best. I suppose I should take responsibility for not asking more questions or going and having a look before booking but I just don’t understand how there are so many 5 star reviews here. I am glad I only paid $175 and not their advertised full price double that. If you are wanting some quality relaxation and pampering do not go to Hydra Time Fortitude Valley, you will be disappointed. If noise doesn’t bother you and you’re looking for a nice back rub and not worried about aesthetics then this might be the place for you.

The remedial massage was very nice, firm, strong right on muscles as needed. Angela was my masseuse and I always book her. You won’t be disappointed.You have to book beforehand.The place is very small, but it’s clean as I see.Recommended.

This is not the place to go if your looking for a relaxing massage at the Fortitude Valley shop. The noise and the chatter amongst staff and clients is loud. I couldn't relax during my foot spar as the rooms are half walls. My massage was in a room with a curtain between me and the next client who was very loud. I voiced my concerns and was move to a private room, which was tiny and still loud. The atmosphere is not what you expect from a massage place, outdated! And the massage is intense and not a full body as I paid for. My arms, head and feet didn't get massaged. Lots of uncomfortable rubbing side to side on my knots making the muscles pop back and forth, instead of massaging them up and out. I would not go back. I've left feeling sorer than I was before.

The setting of decorations and music is very relaxing. The young woman have done a great job to unlock the tension in my whole body and made me sleep very well the whole night. I will make another booking for sure. Highly recommended.

Angela and Jessica were incredible!!! Went to Hydra with my partner to celebrate Valentine’s Day and they give us the best massage we had in Brisbane! Highly recommend!

Purchased a 120 pamper package from Groupon for myself and my husband. Never sure what you’re going to get when you buy these. Absolutely fantastic place… from the moment you walk in staff were attentive and friendly. Double checking on how you would like your massage. Started with a nice foot bath then a 90 min massage. One of the best massages of my life. Great pressure and worked on all my sore areas. Feeling super relaxed when I left. Will definitely go back!
